The Intruders

A well crafted page turner with multiple jaw dropping twists.
The story revolves around Cass and James who are going to be married soon. They got a offer of a Manor house ( Newington House ) which is available rent free to the house sitters but it has been abandoned from thirty years because of a tragedy happened there which killed the Madley family, almost all were dead.As soon as they moved into the house, strange things started happening. Some items are misplaced, sometimes it feels that they're not alone and the clock always stops at 8:30. History isn't going to repeat itself, is it?I loved each and every character in the story. The story is totally believable and tells you the limits of loved ones can go for their koved ones.Told from mainly four POV's of Cass, James, Rose and Marina, this book is a well crafted page turner with multiple jaw dropping twists. I didn't want to put it down and I really wanted to know what happened to the Madleys. Narration of the story is excellent, flawless and engaging. When I read it's premise, I didn't want to read it because it sounded boring but I've had trust in Louise Jensen that she'll definitely do something with the characters and after 2-3 chapters I was engrossed in the story. There are multiple jaw dropping twists which made my head spin like a wheel. I felt bad for Rose, what happened to her. And I think this is the main thing when you feel about a character, it means you're connected with the story.I really loved it. Although after reading her every book, I say that this is her best till date but this time I think I've finally decided that this is her best book till date.Overall, it's a masterpiece. Highly recommended.

A masterfully crafted mystery tweaked to perfection.
"The Intruders," is a masterfully crafted mystery tweaked to perfection. The plot runs precisely true to form like a fine Swiss watch. The characters are perfectly primed and tuned up, like the Italian sports cars and drivers at a Gumball Road rally. Louise Jensen authored the novel, published in 2024. You'll find her narrative is both enthralling and enticing. She will draw you in like a Las Vegas magician with her legerdemain. The main characters are not the members of your average dysfunctional family, either, playing a relaxing and entertaining game of Tiddlywinks after dinner in the living room. As readers, you are constantly on the lookout for sources of consternation, conflagration, and confusion. You are frequently left with premonitions and lingering doubts about the haunted, terrifying expose magnified on a grand scale. Make no bones about it. The book is a thriller, spooky and creepy, through and through. You may believe that they should have brought in a team of congenial genealogy detectives in order to sort through the long list of suspects and isolate the potential criminals, if the police were ever going to get to the root of the problem and solve the case. That said, local residents had better exercise extreme caution and think twice about unlatching their front doors and wandering around outside late on stormy, moonless nights, searching for anything out of the ordinary, after hearing strange, eerie noises, such as a pistol shot ringing out, when someone suddenly shouts, "It's Gary!" Perish the thought. Gary's very scary, metaphorically speaking. And he's not alone. You should ask yourself, "How would a person of average intelligence react under similar taxing circumstances?" Okay. So, let's synchronize our watches and drive like "a bat out of hell." According to my literary interpretation of the novel, then, to carry the point of the story forward to its natural climax and "finish line" conclusion, while elaborating upon the above hypothetical illustration, "Gary" represents original sin, something we're all born with, and the personification of evil. The "shot in the dark" signifies the ringing of the Liberty Bell; that is, a call to arms in the name of truth, justice, and democracy. As they proudly exclaim in America on July 4th, "Let freedom ring!"
