The Fall Guy [DVD] [2024]

Great film, great value!

One of the most enjoyable films in recent years.

Interesting film, great cinematography, rubbish sound. Sometimes clear, often inaudible. Need a better sound engineer to make it watchable without subtitles.

Universal have obviously goofed by putting the extended version on a 4K disk when you buy the standard Blu Ray edition, how could they be expecting to sell the 4K version for £10 more? Reminds me of the time they released Jurassic Park in 3D without a 2D disc, in that case they sent out a free replacement so maybe they will do the same here. That aside, I watched the extended version at a friend's and thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not even find that version too long so I guess the complaints over the length must come from a bit of a lack of enjoyment so are subjective. After checking out the standard edition I found that 2 of my favourite bits were missing, most notably the extended "Dundee" sequence with extra unicorns which was my favourite part of the whole film. So I recommend the extended one as the better version, it has more depth and more action. Over all it's not perfect but it has style, good action, some decent dialogue and is genuinely amusing all the way through.

Not having come across this film before I assumed it was a new release so bought it to watch with the family on Christmas Day. When I told my daughter I’d bought it she said she’d seen it several times it was one of her favourite films. Having now seen it I can understand why she liked it . It’s full of action, good humour and romance and how anybody didn’t get killed on the set is the director’s secret.

This is a fun, action packed movie with a 80's vibe. i really loved it.

Love this film

I usually like anything which includes Ryan Gosling and/or Emily Blunt but, this is mind numbingly boring dross. Watched about 10 minutes and wanted to turn off but, my wife persuaded me to stick with it a little longer. After a short while she’d had enough too and we turned it off. Another one for the charity shop.
