Listen to your loved one's breath sounds. Get familiar to how they sound
As a former respiratory therapist, this was a commonly used stethescope. I haven't used one in 25 years, but they're still a durable product that is reasonably priced.

Don't buy this. The large bell keeps falling off. I keep tightening it but it still falls off.

Everyone loved it, they liked you could hear the heartbeat a lot better than the basic stethoscope that came with the cuff.
