Tarwi the best!!!
The tarwi, Lupinis are Amazing! You have to know how to prepare…And you will love it so much!!! Primero se remoja en agua por 7 días , cada día se cambia de agua , en el 3er día lo puse a hervir por 40 minutos, 2 veces hirvió ósea cambie el agua y otra vez hirvió por 40 minutos, luego cambie de agua y lo dejé remojando con un poco de sal de mar por 3 días más, cada día cambiando de agua , total 7 días y esta listo para cocinar 👌este proceso es importante para quitarle el amargo del tarwi , el día 7 lo cocine y la verdad es delicious delicioso y súper nutritivo!! A toda mi familia les encantó! Regresé a comprar mas…háganlo, tengan paciencia lo amarán 💗 👌🥰

Horrible INTENSE BITTERNESS!!!
These are the most HIDEOUS beans I have EVER tasted!! WHY is there no warning on the disgusting bitterness??What a waste of money and time.!!!There is no LESS than one star to rate this experience!!🫢😳🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Not normal beans
These bean takes a lot of time to prepare. They need to be soaked and rinsed for about a week to remove bitter alkaloids. What's worse is that the product provides no guidance as to how to properly prepare (instead claiming preparation is similar to other beans - while the steps are similar, the details are very different). Don't buy these if you don't know what you are getting.

Not returnable
So I’m very well familiar with Lupuni beans and how to prepare them, so I went ahead ordered these thinking they are the same ones as the Mediterranean lupini beans that I’m used to. First of all the color is different, it’s not the yellow beans that I know. Also these are not as flavorful as the ones I know. Today is the fourth day of soaking and changing the water after boiling them for some time, the bitterness is almost gone, may be two more days, but other than that, not much flavor is left in them which is very disappointing. I tried returning them but they are nonreturnable.

Excellent Source of Protein for Vegans
Unfortunately this product is receiving a bad reputation due to people not understanding or taking the time to research what lupinis are and how to prepare them. Yes, they are indeed bitter if you think that they are a regular bean and prepare them as such. Should one take the time to investigate, one will discover how to prepare them, which takes 4-5 days of rinsing and soaking before actually cooking them. Once done, there’s no bitterness and I would summarize that one will become addicted to the bean; I have 😋

Do not waste your money
I was hoping to be able to prepare the “chochos” from my country Peru, and was excited to find them on Amazon. I soaked them and changed waters twice a day , as well as boiled them twice during that time for about 5 days in total . After all that they were still bitter and actually spoiled. I had to throw them away. Not a good choice , do not buy.

Modo de preparación
Este producto hay que saber como prepararlo, si sigues todos los pasos correctamente el producto estará listo en 3 días, 1 paso remojar desde el día anterior en agua fría, 2 paso hervir con algo de sal por 30 minuto, 3 paso cuando haya terminado de hervir lo escurriremos y enjuagaremos en abundante agua fría, 4 paso seguidamente lo pondremos en un recipiente que tenga tapa ahí echaremos el doble de agua, se dice que por cada litro de agua 1 cucharada de sal. Para que las altramuces pierdan el amargor lo tienes que cambiar el agua y la sal 3 veces al día, a su vez se repite de 2 a 3 dias con el mismo procesó. Al final sale con un sabor suave ya sin amargor, además estos altramuces tienen la piel mucho más delgada y agradable para el paladar.
