This device cuts fly backing line very easy, it was sent from the states to the UK in a small plastic bag with no packing materials. When it arrived the led was on but nearly flat. Could have been slid to on configuration at any time given the poor packaging and it wasn't cheap either considering it's a pair of scissors on a string.The extendable cord is just black nylon, very thin and doesn't feel very good quality. Time will tell, mixed feeling so far.

Very nice and quality product. it works with all kind of fishing lines.I have both Boomerang Fishing Line Cutter and Berkley Hot Line Cutter. both are excellent product but Berkley Hot Line Cutter is very convenient the only issue is it battery life is tooooo short

Found these little line cutters the best I’ve used mono and especially braided lines bought from the USA

Cuts braid and mon nice 'n clean. Clips neatly onto wading jacket.
