Q: what is the difference between the BT- X2 and the standard one?

Hi. This is exactly what I want to know: what is the difference between TXX3811 and BT-X2 models. Hopefully by me answering we can get someone else to provide more information. Maybe the TXX3811 model only works via a cable connection for external audio players, but the BT-X2 model is bluetooth.

Q: Can you bookmark or does it automatically start where you left off on USB

I haven't used it on USB. But it does start where you left off on micro sd card. I imagine it will do the same on USB unless you remove it. Hope this helps! :-)

Q: Can this be charged while it's playing (so one could play continuously without running out of battery) or will it shut off when charging?

I charge mine while playing all the time. Just like using a phone when plugged in, it still works.

Q: Can you use it to play MP3 files without and additional device?

I just plug in a USB key with my MP3 songs on it.
