Good for high quality DIY, easy understanding with low theoretical level
It's a good book for introducing on composites, specially if you want to DIY. It's focused on fabrication of composites, not in the designing area. If you want to learn how to design a monocoque or even other simple pieces it's not your book but if you want to make your own pieces or introducing in composites manufacturing It would be a good reading. The first chapter has a good approximation to theoretical aspects of monocoques but without a higher level, also is easy to read and understand, even if you haven't a engineering background.

A nice look into a high tech market
Where do I start composites in the automotive industry is relatively new (compared to metal working, etc.) and still requires a great deal of talent and sometimes money. I have always wondered how exactly people were able to make the things they did out of composites. There are nice pictures and explanations that show almost step by step of the different methods of creating composite parts. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about how they manufacture formula 1 survival cells and carbon fiber wings. The go over carbon fiber, kevlar, fibreglass, and aramid fiber construction. They show strength tables and relative benefits, weaknesses, and costs. I know a medium amount about carbon fiber molding but I feel good in saying I still learned quite a bit from this book.
