Great ice spheres
This was easy to use and my most successful attempt at making ice spheres. No brainer method and always comes out as whole spheres. Things that helped: Fill to the line on the clear top. I have been adding more than the line and ice just also reaches the top cover Make sure they don’t wobble or tip to its side before ice forms. I had put mine on the door of freezer and I didn’t notice water spilling when doors are opened and wondering why the spheres were not forming. Then I noticed there’s ice on the other surfaces. Once I kept them upright and stable I get full spheres all the time.

Not bad once you figure out the quirks
Over all these work well. I found a mold for sphere ice at a restaurant supply store. It lasted less than a month before it cracked. It was also difficult to fill. These however have been durable so far, and generally ok to fill. 3 out of 4 of the funnels work for the most part. You need to be patient and get the right pour rate and height, but it works. I found If you have a 10 CC type syringe the tip will fit perfectly in the top shell so you don't have to mess with the funnel. Still cap them with the silicone but use that 10 CC to fill and it's much easier and faster for me. If you fill to the marked line, the top of the spheres will have a slight indentation. As said in the product paperwork, over fill them slightly to round them out more. I also run luke warm water over the mold to help loosen to open so you don't have to pry them apart as much. Note overfilling will cause the top shell to pull away from the bottom silicone creating a Ridge around the circumference of the sphere. Trick is to find that sweet spot that rounds out the sphere without expanding enough to cause the shells to pull apart as they freeze creating the ridge. Overall, product has been durable, and can make decent ice spheres when you get the right volume figured out. Filling them hasn't been as difficult as other molds, but the funnel system is questionable. Worked OK 3 out of 4 molds, but for me using a 10 CC syringe has been more effective and quicker to fill.

Beautiful spheres!
I wanted to use these for a while before reviewing. I liked them so much I bought extras as gifts. They make great ice spheres! I found that they are easier to remove if you use an "unscrewing motion" on the halves of the molds rather than trying to pull them apart. I've used them to freeze lemonade for iced tea, coffee for our iced coffee drinks, and of course, regular ice. (The only "con" is that if you use a cup with a straw lid, the big spheres get in the way of the straw.) I really like these, and they have held up well so far. The big round cubes really look great! We make batches ahead of time and store them in baggies so we have enough for guests. They make drinks look beautiful - quite a presentation!

Works great!
Our icemaker went out on our 3 year old refrigerator and my husband has to have ice in whatever he's drinking. After buying bags of ice for a few weeks he saw a neighbor who added a large ice ball to his beverage and decided this would be a much better alternative than buying bags of ice! What makes these molds genius is that they have a built in funnel to make filling them much easier. What a great idea! Highly recommend these ice ball maker molds for large balls of ice to keep all your drinks ice cold!

Hard to open
They don’t really open like the video shows. I like the idea and they don’t dissolve very fast which is good!
