Durable and installation without messy adhesives!
I wasn’t sure about ordering these, but I am thrilled that I did! Each door panel has two flat metal rods that are easily inserted between the window and door frame. 10-second installation that will never leave residue from double-sided tape or Velcro like other brands. I have an 80-pound mix who wreaks barking havoc on every passing truck by jumping up on the door and pushing her head out of the window to let truck drivers know who really owns the road. This product is showing unbelievable durability! And yes, the window goes up/down without the product moving out of place.

Protects the doors!
I usually have a german shepherd traveling with me in my 4dr dually. Considering the prices these trucks cost today, I was looking for something to protect the door panels. These were ideal. No damage to the door panels after a year of the dogs being in the truck. Also when using the rear seat for a passenger it does not block off access to the door handle and window controls. Will be ordering another set for the Excursion!!

A year later, still great
I have had these for about a year, and they work a treat. The dogs do not scratch up the arm rest or other trim materials, and they do not accidentally hit the window switches either! When I remove them, the door card underneath looks as good as it does when I bought the car. The only small issue is that if I leave them in place, passengers who are not used to them struggle for a moment to find the door handles. For those who are struggling to install these, roll the window down all or most of the way, then slide the vertical pieces between the weather strip and the (inside of) window. It takes a little bit of work to figure out the perfect way to do it for any given car, but once you see how it works, you will be able to remove/reinstall them in a minute or two for both sides. (Note that you can roll the windows up and down with these installed, but if you roll the window all the way down on some cars, it might cause the window to catch the vertical strip. I have not had a problem on any of the three cars I have used these on, but I could imagine it could be a problem for some.)Also, tell your dog I said Hi!

They fly away
These don’t stay in place when the windows are rolled down even partially. I lost one that blew out of the window while driving and luckily noticed the second one was on its way out and was able to roll it up in time.
