Afloia Air Purifiers, H13 True HEPA Filter with Air Quality Sensor & Auto Mode

This product works great I'm very pleased with the operation of my fresh air unit.

This is my first air purifier. It arrived quickly. Very easy set up. Instructions are understandable. Very quiet operation. I got this for my allergies, so I'll have to report back on it's effectiveness next summer.Once I got it set up, I tried to locate replacement filters. The manufacturer doesn't make this easy. (Nor does any other, BTW.) What a murky world it turned out to be! There is exactly one replacement filter option for this air purifier and it is $46 for ONE filter. Looking at other air purifiers and their filter replacements, this is quite expensive. I would take this very strongly into consideration, which is how I arrived at 3 stars. Other similar-sized-but-not-exactly-a-fit filters are priced at 3 for around $25. I have a feeling that allergy season will make using this air purifier very, very expensive.

I got this air purifier to replace a unit that we had in one of the children's bedrooms. That unit still works, but after 20 years, we can no longer find replacement filters for it...and even when we could, they were mightily expensive. It looks like this air purifier could easily have the same issues when it comes to filter replacement, although being more difficult to find right from the starting gate. I only knocked off one star for this as this seems to be a common problem with air purifiers and otherwise this is a very nicely functioning unit.The display panel is intuitive, although I did read the instructions first, as I pretty much always do for any electronic. Even on the strongest fan setting, this unit is pretty quiet, but you can definitely feel the air moving right by it. It has several extra features (like timer, air quality sensor, etc.) that our old purifier didn't have, so we've moved up in the world of purifiers. Of course, the most important part of a purifier is if it is actually cleaning the air. In terms of allergen purposes, which is mainly why we use air purifiers in our home, it seems to be doing well--no stuffiness during the night. A very nice working model.

This is one of the noisier air purifiers I have. At it's lowest fan setting, it is about a loud as my other air purifiers at their second or third setting. And at the lowest setting, the fan has a kind of annoying rattle to it. That noise seems to go away at higher fan speeds though. When first turning it on, there was a faint plastic outgassing smell, but it wasn't too noticeable.Being a flat rectangular design, I was hoping to put this along a wall so it would be out of the way. But the manual indicates that this should be placed at least a foot away from any walls. This makes it less convenient than I was hoping for.On the plus side, I do like that this has an automatic mode for adjusting the fan speed based on air quality. I also like the fact that it actually displays the air quality right on the front display. The UV light is also a nice addition that my other air purifiers do not have.I will be using this in a room of our house where the noise doesn't matter as much, but would not consider using it in a bedroom.

When I first took it out of the package, what caught my attention was its small size—its even smaller than my paper shredder. I appreciated the relative light weight and built-in handle on the back, which made moving it around very easy. Setting it up was straightforward, and using it was easy thanks to the intuitive touch controls and the clear instruction manual. After setting up the filter, just plug it in, turn it on, and select auto. The machine will do a quick calibration and tell you the air quality with a digital number and a color. Under the auto setting, the air purifier will choose the fan speed accordingly. You can also choose the fan speed manually or select a timer or night mode (which turns off the display except for the power indicator and a small moon symbol). Under the highest fan setting, the fan noise is acceptable.The only thing to note is that at the time of this review, I could not locate the replacement filter either on Amazon or on the company’s website. Other customers who have used the filters for this company’s other products have generally stated they are effective but a tad costly. We can probably expect more of the same with this product.Overall, I would recommend the Afloia Air Purifier for its aesthetics, ease of use, and easy mobility. I like how the auto mode takes care of selecting the fan speed while showing the air quality in both digits and a corresponding color (blue -> green -> orange -> red).

I ordered this air purifier unit to mainly use in a bedroom. The unit itself is fairly slim and blows outward from the centrifugal fan wheel, toward the top of the purifier. You need to take off the cover prior to using, as the filter is installed in a plastic bag, which needs to be removed. I let it run a couple weeks like that before actually popping off the plastic side housing to check on the filter and noticing that. The touch screen controls are very responsive, and let you select the fan speed or auto mode, a uv light option and power. The best mode for use in a bedroom at night is the night mode, which dims the display and runs quietly. The display typically shows a real time air quality reading, which in the bedroom has always shown a low 001 to 005. If you need to clean the air fast, the highest fan speed does move a lot of air through the filtration and does a good job. Overall this is a good smaller and quiet purifier that can blend into the room and not a bad price if using the current coupon on the listing.
