A flexible VPN device for home and travel
I have tested both Air and Pico over a month at home and oversea trip. Here is my assessment:1. At Home Usage:I used the Air device as a USB Wi-Fi dongle. By plugging it into any PC or laptop with a USB port, I could create a second network adapter. The manufacturer recommended turning off the PC/laptop’s built-in network adapter to avoid network conflicts, but I experimented with keeping both active. Doing so allowed me to use the Deeper network for internet access while simultaneously using the PC/laptop network for accessing the LAN. This dual-network feature is unique to the Air device and is not available on Pico or other Deeper devices. However, the feature is supported by OpenVPN.2. Speed Performance:The 300 Mbps speed offered by the Air is significantly better than the 100 Mbps provided by the Pico.3. Traveling Overseas:When traveling, particularly staying at hotels, you would typically use the Air in relay mode by plugging it into a power outlet. The router mode or virtual LAN mode wouldn’t apply in such scenarios because you wouldn’t have access to the LAN port of the hotel’s modem or router.4. Pico Features:The Pico device does include router mode and virtual LAN mode. I tested both at home, and they worked well. However, I wouldn’t use the Pico at home in this configuration. In router mode, all devices in the house are connected to the Deeper network. While this works, I encountered limitations, such as not being able to access local services (e.g., the Home Depot store locator on my phone) while streaming videos from other regions. The drawback of virtual lan mode is the Pico’s 100 Mbps lan speed limit, which affects tasks like transferring data to a 1 Gbps NAS server.5. Design Suggestions:The Air device’s design could be improved by making it vertical to avoid sticking out from wall sockets or PC USB ports. While minor, this would enhance usability.6. Firewall Issues:I experienced issues with third-party antivirus software firewalls, which caused an “unidentified network” error. To connect, I had to disable the firewall temporarily. This issue occurs with USB ports but not when using Ethernet or wireless connections with the Pico.7. Network IDs:A new network ID is generated periodically, leading to an accumulation of network IDs in the system registry.8 Network connection:The Air may not be able to stay connected 24/7. I’ve experienced this a few times while overseas. It doesn’t bother me, but I’m curious about the reason behind it.Overall:The Air device meets my needs both at home and while traveling.

Working well so far with Quantum Fiber
I have had this device in operation in my home network for two weeks, and it appears to be working well in default mode. It runs on 700 Mbit/sec upstream / 700 Mbit/sec downstream, and I connected it between my Quantum Fiber gateway (which provides the WAN output) and my ASUS router (configured as "Wireless Router"). When browsing the Internet, the number of ads is much lower than ever before. Still learning how to personalize the use of this device.

Great DPN/VPN
When I tried this the first time I didn't get the speed I was looking for, but turns out the 2in1 Modem router I have from xfinity doesn't work well with this DPN so I bought a Asus router and tested it with this device and it's working perfect. The settings and setup is super easy and it doesn't disoccent.

Missing antenna cable
If you buy this you’re going to need an extra power cable to connect the antenna. The power and antenna cables are the same.Others have the same problem with the mini. The 2nd one i received had the same problem.I had it connected and running in minutes. Speed and range are good.

Just a techy gimmick with no usable instuctions.
The things wrong with this product.1. Scanning the QR code for instructions takes you to MediaFyre website where they try to force you into signing up for a $50 month program. You never will find any installation instructions with the materials. You’ll need to google the product and watch the video.2. Follow the instructions on the video, disable your Wi-Fi and a pop-up screen comes up looking for the network key that is not provided. It’s not the 34.34.etc or the optional number provide or your network password. No idea what goes in there because it’s never explained.3. Your stuck. You can’t open it, you can’t log onto their webpage because your wifi is turned off and you don’t have a network key AND you’re out $180!4. Returning this gimmick in the morning.
