We recently planted 40 seedlings in the park next door to us. A couple got mowed down by the landscape guys so we were looking for something to protect them and this works great! They are easy to use and come with little stakes that make them easy to use. We really like them and ordered enough for all 40 trees and they are working great - no more losses to mowers or weedeaters!

When we replaced our entire landscape with native california plants, we were instructed to plant everything in gopher cages to protect the roots from hungry pocket gophers, which we did. They especially love nice young tender plants! No one told me that they also come above ground to enjoy their meal (aka: killing my plants!!). We lost almost 16 plants before realizing we needed to protect them above ground too. Couldn’t find anything at our local hardware store that didn’t require a DIY solution. Since we are trying to protect about 20 plants (the ones we know are their favorites), crafting our own barriers would take some serious time and energy. These were fairly easy to use although connecting two or 3 to make a larger ring for slightly bigger plants took some fumbling, but we got the hang of it after a few tries. The gopher technically could still tunnel underneath to gain access inside the cage but this makes it a little harder for them. Hoping since we only covered the plants they’re consistently snacking on that they don’t move on to our other unprotected plants. Know that these do cast some speckled shade if you have sun loving plants! Our goal is to keep these on until the plants mature enough that the gophers can’t kill the entire plant with a midnight snack. I gave it 4 stars because each set of 4 came in its own box but was then taped with the most annoying strong material that it took a lot of effort to separate them. Totally unnecessary since each set came in their own perfectly sized box. It was kind of infuriating actually and the tape would just shred and tear and took forever to remove. I’ll update this review in a month once we’ve tested its effectiveness. Our resident owl caught our resident gopher last night (thank you Mister Owl!) so we need to wait until the next one moves in to see if it does the trick!…

I use these for many purposes. They can be used to protect young plants from wind and cold. I also usethem to discourage squirrel predation. They don’t work 100% for this purpose but they do discouragethem from digging to some extent. I sprinkle Cayenne pepper around the outside foot of the protector to further help.They can also be used to support young plants.

They seem ok so far. It seems a bunny could easily move these, dig below these, even with the spikes. They feel kind of flimsy. They were taped together packing tape, which left nearly impossible to remove residue on two of them.I am also mildly annoyed that different colors cost different amounts, but I know that is common on amazon.Update: Bunny has been using it as a stand to rest its front legs on and reach higher branches. So the very bottom seems to remain protected but still getting leaves and twigs bitt off. Also does not work for anything that starts branching a bit lower b/c its too wide for these.

Does the job and ez to set in place

I use these to protect young flower plants from being eaten by rabbits. Great product, my only wish is that they offered another version a few inches larger in size.

Would like to see these in a smaller pack like a 3 pack. Very nice! Came with 2 clips but it didn't provide any instructions for them. I read on their description on their photos that it's to clip 2 together but I don't know how and if it's for that purpose then they need to provide more than 2 clips and have clear instructions on how to use them. Overall I do recommend these!

This has held up well over the winter. I put around my spiderwort after the rabbits had nibbled it to the ground. I also needed it to protect my plants from the dogs tearing up and down the fence line. So far it's worked well. I had to put a couple of the stakes back in after winter, but it was well worth the money. I'm ordering more

Diesen Zweck erfüllt das Produkt voll und ganz.Die Verbindung der einzelnen Manschetten funktionierte kinderleicht.Die Lieferung erfolgte zunächst nicht vollständig, jedoch hat der Verkäufer, obwohl es Wochenende war, innerhalb kürzester Zeit auf meine Anfrage reagiert und die fehlenden Teile sofort nachgeschickt. Auch für diesen tollen Kundenservice gibt es von mir fünf Sterne.

These tree protectors are really good, easy to install.Just what I wanted to keep my chickens away from the tree trunks, going to order more to protect my other trees from rabbits that have started invading my garden .

Sehr nützlich und funktional. Einzig Halterungen könnten etwas mehr Halt im Boden haben. Insgesamt aber gutes Produkt

A bit expensive as I needed to use 2 for each pot. I couldn't joint them together with the plastic tags provided, there were no twist ties as described on the instructions. Although they did the job and stopped my dogs from eating the soil out of the plant pots.

Love these! They’re so easy to set up and so effective! I bought them to protect young climbing jasmine plants from curious puppy dogs. They have done the job perfectly and the jasmines are thriving!
