Added safety and peace of mind
This dashcam package has exceeded my expectations in every way. From the unboxing to the final setup, the experience was seamless. Installation was quick and straightforward—even with both the front and rear cameras, the included instructions made everything easy to follow. The compact design also means it doesn't obstruct your view while driving, which is a big plus. The AI features are surprisingly useful and add an extra layer of peace of mind. Things like lane departure warnings and collision alerts are subtle but effective, making me feel more aware and safer on the road. It’s like having a co-pilot that’s always looking out for you. The video quality is excellent, both during the day and at night. Footage is crisp and clear, with wide-angle coverage that captures everything you’d want in the event of an incident. I also upgraded to a 512GB SD card (purchased separately), and the dashcam handled it with no issues at all—great for longer trips or extended loop recording. Overall, this is a well-rounded, high-quality dashcam system that offers great value. It gives me confidence every time I get behind the wheel, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their driving safety and security.

Easy to install with everything in the kit
Very good kit included front and rear cameras that link to your phone for external control. Kit included instructions and tools for interior hookup, and optional instructions to install to permanent power source for 24/7 monitor ability. I was really impressed with how easy it went into our 2023 Subaru Crosstrek and you can mount it so it doesn't obstruct driver view. Clarity and ease of use are very impressive. Included is on 64gb micro SD card, and you can save videos to your phone also!

Easy and elegant
The Botslab G980H car camera has exceeded my expectations with its crystal-clear 4K video quality, reliable night vision, and wide-angle lens that captures everything without distortion. Setup was fast, the app works seamlessly for real-time viewing, and the voice control adds safe, hands-free convenience. Features like parking mode, G-sensor, and loop recording offer great peace of mind. Most impressive, though, is their customer service—quick, responsive, and truly the clearest and most helpful support I’ve experienced. For the price, this dash cam delivers premium quality and unmatched reliability.

The Botslab G980H - a budget friendly, nicely featured Dashcam
The Botslab G980H is a budget-friendly, dual-channel, 4K, nicely featured dashcam with parking mode (hardwire kit not included, B0DT1633D2). As of the time of writing this review, the G980H is selling for $129.99 minus a $30 instant savings coupon! The unit was received in a well-constructed packaging containing the front and rear 4 K and 2 K cameras, a 12V accessory outlet power cord, a rear camera cable, cling stickers for mounting the camera to the windshield, and an upholstery tool for routing the cables into the ceiling liner. I would highly recommend the additional purchase of the hardwire kit (https://www.amazon.com/Hardwire-Type-Exclusive-BOTSLAB-G980H/dp/B0DT1633D2), as parking mode will not function without it. I found both cameras to be of good quality, and the hardware provided was also made of high-quality materials. If you will be installing the cameras using the hardwire kit, you will also want to purchase a set of fuse taps appropriate for your type of fuse. I used these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T8LRSH7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) in my 10th-generation Honda Accord. Check your vehicle's fuse box before ordering to be sure you order the right style of tap! The installation took about 3 hours to complete and was easy to do. The hardest part is identifying the correct fuse locations to tap for VCC (constant 12V) and ACC (only powered when the car is on). Once the appropriate fuses were located, I was able to complete the installation and set up the Botslab G980H using the Botslab app downloaded to my phone from the Google Play Store. If there is one negative to the G980H, it's the lack of an easily located, comprehensive manual. Most of the features are intuitive and easy to understand without the need for a manual. However, there is one feature pointed out in the advertisement for the G980H that I couldn't find any documentation for, "Hands-free control". Using the app, however, I reached out to Botslab via built-in chat support (shout out to Yana!) and was provided with the missing information! Chat support was great, and Yana got me going right away. I've attached an image Yana provided me, which will provide anyone reading this review a list of the available voice commands for the G980H. I'm not sure this is a complete list of all available voice commands, as those listed on the right don't include all of the commands being used in the picture, but it's a good start! My vehicle already has a suite of safety features which mirror those of the ADAS system employed in the G980H, so I have them disabled, however, I did perform the ADAS calibration in setup and found it to be easy to use. The Botslab G980H is a great value for the money. I am very happy with my purchase and hope this review will help others considering buying this dashcam. I give the Bitslab G980H 4 stars out of 5 only for the lack of an easily located, fully comprehensive manual.

Great piece of tool to protect you from bad drivers!
Before I review I made sure I can use that product for at least 3 months without any issue. Last four months I have been using this product, I can simply say this is a great piece of add on you must have if you drive to protect you from bad drivers. This not only records your front end cars but also your back end which is extra protection. It comes with very good user manual and nice a nice box. I could not upload my video review where I did show the recording quality of this product is superb. The provided Botslab app is good I wont say flawless but it is much better than few I have used. You can review your recorded video which include many details of the trip including your speed of the driving. -4k recording is crisp clear -You can save it on your phone directly when you connect it through the bluetooth in the botslab app -Rear camera is pretty solid. -both camera record simultaneously while you drive -Unit comes with complete pack you wont need to buy anything else -this has loop recording feature which is good -make sure to use their own memory card which is 64gb, I tried to use my 256gb card which did not work well.

BOTSLAB Dual Channel (Front 4K & Rear 1080p) Dashcam Review. The presentation of this dashcam exudes premium. The accessories were neatly packaged in boxes and the unboxing experience was similar to getting a new high-end phone. The main forward dashcam has some heft and does not feel cheaply made. The view screen is small and provides some detail. Users will see much more detail when recorded footage is downloaded to a phone or a computer. The 170° wide-angle 4K (25 fps) dashcam lens captures detail in daylight and nighttime but lacks optical image stabilization. When your vehicle is stopped at a traffic light, the dashcam can capture license plates from a distance of half a car’s length. This is also ideal when parked in a parking lot. The rear 1080p (60 fps) camera captures sufficient detail in daylight and at night. However, when your vehicle is in motion, the dash cam turns oncoming licence plates into an indistinguishable blur. Minus the licence plate issue, your surroundings are captured in stunning detail. If an incident occurs, this dash cam will record it. A minor nitpick is that a green LED on the left side of the device blinks while recording. I covered the LED with a small piece of black electrical tape. The dash cam alerts users (by computerized voice) that it still records when the viewscreen turns off. The same ‘voice’ is used for the dash cam’s ADAS system alerting the driver to pedestrians, lane deviation, hard braking, aggressive driving and when the vehicle ahead of you starts moving. GPS logging and tracking at this price point is unheard of and is usually associated with higher-end model dashcams. The spoken ADAS prompts can be configured through the Botslab app. The supercapacitor is preferred over a lithium-ion battery. In past experiences, the supercapacitor endured extreme hot and cold temperatures. There is mention of a lithium-ion battery in the product description. The battery is likely used to keep the dashcam’s time and date. For 24/7 parking and sentry monitoring, you will need a hard-wire kit. I tried the cigarette lighter/power outlet adapter method first. When the adapter is plugged into an outlet that provides constant power, this will drain the vehicle battery over time. The hard wire kit resolves this problem. There are two options available. The first option is a kit that hard-wires the dash cam to your vehicle’s fuse panel. This allows the dash cam to go into parking/sentry mode. The kit includes an inline voltage regulator that automatically turns the dash cam off to avoid battery drainage. Some voltage regulators allow users to choose from four battery voltage settings. This option takes the most time to install. The second option takes the least installation time and uses the vehicle’s OBD II port. This method eliminates wiring the dash cam to the fuse panel. During operation, the dash cam was warm to the touch but was not as warm when I used the cigarette lighter/power outlet adapter method. If choosing this method, get the micro USB version, (B074M4XMBX). Ensure enough cable length is available to connect the dash cam to the OBD II port. The adapter is attached to roughly 3.5 metres (11.5 ft) of cable. To conceal the cable, I hid it under the headliner, A-pillar, and the excess cable was hidden near the OBD II port. Plug the adapter in, set the switch to the desired mode and that’s it. The OBD II adapter has a switch that selects two modes. The first mode keeps the dashcam on while driving and turns the dashcam off after five minutes when the car is shut off. The second mode puts the dashcam in parking/sentry mode. When your vehicle is turned off, the dashcam continues to record. The Botslab app can adjust how much time is allowed for recording. When the vehicle’s battery reaches 11.6 volts, the dashcam shuts off. Installation of the dash cam was straightforward. The instructions are clear and guide you through the process. A firmware update was available when the dashcam was first started. The dashcam is equipped with a built-in alignment guide that assists with positioning the device. The kit comes with an extra self-adhesive pad. The ESD sticker kept falling off despite having cleaned the windshield thoroughly. If the dash cam needs to be repositioned, I’ve found that a length of fishing line cuts through the adhesive. Goo gone removes any residue left behind. Overall, and despite minor nitpicks this dashcam exceeded my expectations. Recommended!
