The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy at All, Vol. 1 (Volume 1)

This is such a cute book, I absolutely love it!! The story is fast pace, but it doesn’t feel rushed at all. I want to read more! ;-; There are lots of details and the characters are great; they each stand out individually. Also the art is so eye catching with the bright green and black panels, it’s so cool! And it works great with the story’s style.

This manga that started as a Twitter comic, has become something so awesome. The volume came in perfect condition and right on time. The green coloring is fantastic and I'm so glad the author chose to keep the green in despite expenses. I love this manga with a passion for its art style, aesthetic, and the detailed and in depth characters with a story that takes unusual twists and turns from most yuri manga.

If you are looking for bad*ss art, like truly truly amazing spectacular art, great story, likeable characters, awesomeness in general, and some rock and roll this story is for you! The main story is slow but honestly I’m here for the vibes. What called my attention at first was the art because is truly something amazing to see. There are some panels that the perspective view blows my mind. Sumiko Arai did an amazing job drawing this. I’m a fan for sure! Literally made my little artsy heart get inspired. I truly love that the English version is green and has some pages colored as the original in Japanese. Great quality for sure!

I've been following this manga for years and am so happy to finally get a physical copy in English. It is a cute and relatable Yuri story about falling in love with someone different from you and figuring out who you are. I wish I could've read this when I was a teenager. The illustrations and coloring are amazing! Love love love it.

Absolutely in love with this art style??? I love the way the green pops, and the book itself feels well made. The story itself is very cute and I love the way it is written. As someone into rock bands, I can easily keep up with references and songs mentioned, which is neat. Definitely going to be following this series and buying the rest of the volumes as they release.

I’m so glad that this manga got a physical English release! Sumiko Arai is an excellent artist and story teller. I even have the Japanese versions that I bought from a convention recently. Unfortunately, Amazon only packaged the book in the basic plastic envelope packaging so it arrived very bent up. The Japanese versions I got had a plastic dust cover/wrap that sealed the book so that the pages would have less chance of getting damaged. I wish the English version had this too or that Amazon had shipped it to me in a box with some bubble wrap. Nevertheless, I’m happy I have a physical copy that I can read in a language that I understand. ******************* Update: I was able to request a replacement and it arrived in much better condition. The packaging was the same and there’s a small bend in the bottom left corner of the back cover but atleast its not the whole book bending in multiple places like the 1st copy I received. Slowly but surely fell in love with these two. I've been keeping up with this story since I first saw it on twitter years ago! I did find it somewhat cheesy at points, but overall I enjoyed reading it. I live for good lesbian representation though so I could be biased. I would say this could be really for anyone looking for a cute little wlw romance manga!

The manga arrived in perfect condition. The pages are so good and the art style is so unique and awesome. I have been reading this manga digitally since 2024 and wanted to get a physical copy so bad . Now I finally have it and I love it.

Get this book if you're a lesbian or if you love Yuri. It's so pretty with the green print color and it's worth the price.

I bought the book months ago but I wanted to write a review to say that it was fascinating. I loved reading every part of it. I’m excited to get more of this series! And there was no damage to the book which arrived in perfect condition!
