I got this in order to connect my older Garmin GPS (to update the maps) that has a "mini USB" slot on the GPS (pre-switch over to USB C) to my newer MacBook computer that only has USB-C ports. Worked for charging and data transfer. Fastest speeds were around 40ish mbs/s. Cheaper to buy this cord than replace the whole GPS. I recommend it if you have an older Garmin GPS that you're trying to extend the life of it and get those "Free Lifetime Map Updates". Cord will only be used for updating GPS so won't see heavy usage, but seems to be well built.

I needed this cable to determine if I could download images from a second hand Sony a35 digital camera I'd bought. As the description specified, it was a mini-usb to c compatible cable capable of data transfer, not just power. It worked perfectly!

I use this in combination with my Macbook Pro's USB-C charger to charge a few of my devices much faster than if using a less powerful USB-A charger.

This cable helped me have a suitable alternative for a microphone I use with my MacBook Pro and other devices that have USB-C as their main ports (such as a Kindle Fire). Rather than rely on adapters that I might need to constantly swap between all of my USB 3.0 peripherals, this cable allows for a direct connection that doesn't affect performance, while keeping the original cable for the sake of backwards compatibility.

I own several different UGreen products and they've all been good so far but this one has a quirky issue with power source. I bought this to use it as a power cable for an older device and for some reason, it doesn't work with all power sources. For example, it works fine with a USB-C cigarette lighter adapter in my car or USB-C wall adapter but then it won't work with some of my battery packs so if you're using it for this type of application, it may be hit or miss. Otherwise, the construction and quality are great.
