Ilford FP4 Plus, Black and White Print Film, 135 (35 mm), ISO 125, 24 Exposures (1700682)

I love my Kodak for colour, and my Fuji for transparencies, but when it comes to B&W photography, Ilford is at the top of the 'food chain'. I highly recommend it for contrast, grain, and accurate rendition of the billions of shades of gray, something no digital medium is capable of.

Shipping wasn't as fast but the film was fresh. I had to peel away the bar code sticky but no problem.

This is my favorite film. I develop it in XTOL 1:3 for 15:30 with agitation every minute for 10 seconds. This gives me the best tones out of any film that I have tried, so whenever there is enough light this is my go to. Portraits and skin tones look AMAZING with this film. It also looks even better with a yellow filter. I tend to shoot it at 100 to give it an extra 1/3 stop, but I have also pushed it to 200 with good results.I have shot about 60 rolls of this film in the last two years. When there isn't enough light I go to Tri-X.

Iford fp4 Plus is a very nice looking black and white film. It is very nice contrast and very pleasing grain.

Going back to my Nikon F3 and loaded it today with Ilford FP4, will start shooting tomorrow. Film was in date
