Awesome Book that makes Game Theory Accessible to non Scholars
This book makes the otherwise complex and dry subject of Game Theory enjoyable. By using examples we are familiar with, such as the British elections in the chapter: Anticipating Your Rival's Response, subchapter: Games the British Play - the 1987 elections pitting The Conservative's Margaret Thatcher against Labour's Neil Kinnock. In Resolving the Prisoner's Dilemma, I like the use of the US's Republican and Conservatives on how they had to co-operate due to an inevitable Policy Change to increase taxes for the best outcome just like it is in the best interest of the Prisoners to co-operate. What about the OPEC Member countries colluding to drive the price of Crude Oil to unprecedented levels until the Cartel collapsed - the Prisoner's Dilemma highlighted by OPEC Countries. It's the use of familiar events, people and situations throughout the book that makes it easy to read, and really helps in developing one's Strategic Thinking. The stories it tells covers Business, Politics, gambling and so on. This book really makes Game Theory accessible to non-Game Theory scholars, like me.

Interesting book with a different perspective on Strategy. A bit repetitive but nonetheless a very interesting read. May help graduate (or undergraduate) students in gaining some insights and intuitions about game theory, this however without being a substitute for more "technical" books.

Entertaining Read!
After deciding what to read next on my adventures, I was recommended to read Thinking Strategically. Now, after reading (I still haven't finished yet about 1/2 way through), this book has already helped me. It has saved money, and helped my game theory knowledge which was non-existent before reading. This book, once you get started is hard to put down, and anything mentioned applies wherever you go, and whatever you do! (don't want to ruin it too much) both authors of this book, also have their own personal experiences in this book, as well as well known examples. A Must read, should you want to learn more about game theory, and outwit everyone else!

Changes how you think
Largely seen as one of the authorities on the topic of strategy, this book delivers as promised. However, it is important to understand what you are getting from this book. Its aim is to take you through case study after case study to get you into the habit of looking at real world problems and then structuring them into technical game theory set-ups. All the game theory in the book covered ground I already knew well, but that I was not in the habit of applying to situations I faced in the real world. The technical and mathematical elements are not too difficult, but a basic understanding of game theory would be helpful.

Strategic thinking, will change my life forever...................
Quite a complex book, so not light reading, but very interesting. I look forward to using some of the methods, and see what the impact is. Definately a book for people who want to seriously learn about startegic thinking. If you put the book down, you'll have to re-read some to understand/follow the ideas, or is that just me?

Great book for intro to game theory
Great book for intro to game theory. Art of Strategy (the updated version) is probably better but very similar anyway. Heavy of anecdotal explanations which may or may mot appeal to you.
