Premium Quality Feel, Performance and Durability
This knife is very sharp and has a very comfortable handle. The blade holding mechanism is very robust and keeps the blade locked in position and the knurled grip allows for comfortable cutting and low effort release of the blade for when you need to change it. The handle is slightly thicker than I expected which was fine for my larger hands but keep this in mind if you’re looking for a more delicate tool, however this aspect does not effect performance, just may influence your personal preference. The cutout slots along the grip also made it easy to tell which way the blade was oriented without looking at it, an advantage over similar hobby knives like Xacto brand. The plastic used in the handle is also dense and durable. The Olfa brand blades are also very durable and keep their edge for far longer than I expected, far outpacing my previous experience with Xacto blades. I am still using the factory installed blade despite using it for enough projects to run through 2 or 3 Xacto blades in my estimation while only showing a slight decrease in cutting performance. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed with this quality tool.

Absolutely love it!
I have had one of these knives for years and thought I had lost it. Happily, after I ordered and received the new one, I found the old one and now I am doubly thrilled. Yes. It's that good a tool. I use it for many things, not the least of which is trimming the foil on the stained glass which I love to do. It's good for many jobs, not just stained glass, but I'm not sure I could list them all. Oh, I know one! I use it to cut the center slit on machine buttonholes and it works better than anything else I have. It's a wonderful, all-purpose knife. Before I broke down and bought this one, I had purchased another 'art' knife. Problem with that one is the blades are all shaped differently and are pretty much useless to me. I really like the straight, not too sharply angled blade on this knife and the security of its hold on the blade. Thanks Olfa!

Excellent Product
I am using this for leather crafting, and it worked perfectly.

Non metal collet, but dont pass it up, its fine
This tool feels nice in the hand. The reason I purchased this is because of the tip profile is great. My only reservation in initial purchase was the fact that the collet is not metal. This has proved to be a non issue. In normal use and not trying to saw resin or hard materials, the collet locks fine. If you are still apprehensive, get the AK-4.

Quality
This blade is the best blade I've used. I cut stencils and this is perfect for the details. The blade is a nice angle for strength and control. The handle is a durable and flexible plastic that provides stability as well as comfort. The collet is knurled for a gripping texture. It's made of thicker material as more rigid metal than that of an xacto knife and feels solid in contrast with the aluminum collet on those. I liked everything about the design and functionality of this blade.

Amazing for Gunpla
I don't have anything to compare it to, but this blade is amazing for shaving down gunpla nubs to at or nearly unnoticeable levels. I feel like I'm sometimes trying to bend it at the angles I slice at, but it just doesn't give. The only downside I could maybe find is that the handle is kind of slippery, but that's hardly a problem since you'll be mostly gripping the knurled piece near the blade which is plenty comfortable to me(in case you were considering the padded version).

Amazing.
this is by far my go to utensil for my purposes. the shorter blade makes for a very very sturdy cutting edge. it's Olfa so you know it's the best of the best. Those Japanese really know how to cut (no pun intended on their suicide rate :-/) I use this for everything and just purachased 50 more blades. b/c I know I will never need another x-acto for as long as I live with one of these around.

Stays sharp and very easy to use! Invaluable for my crafting business
I bought this as I cut vinyl for decals but also stencils for glass etching. I have used this so often for over 6 months now and it is still insanely sharp, even after using it on cardboard for cardboard cars. I love that it is shaped like a pencil, which allows me to manipulate the blade easily. It is easy to change the blade by twisting the brass portion and came with replacement blades I have yet to use. This has been invaluable to me for my crafting business!

Bought after a recommendation from a friend. The blades are sharp and the knife has a good heft to it. The knurled grip is good quality and holds the blade very well.

Olfa has the best blades as always, i use this for plastic model building and it cuts through like butter. A little bit on the expensive side though.
