these cards are very helpful for encouraging conversation about traumatic and difficult events
As a professional, I can say that these were excellent cards to use with clients who've been traumatized or experienced difficult events in their lives that they need to process

Good quality and useful
Don't believe the reviews of 2018 about poor quality. These cards are good quality for the purpose they were intended. They are not playing cards that get shuffled a hundred times per game session. They are designed to be selected one at a time as a tool to make us think and act, become a better person. They are longer than playing cards but can still be shuffled if you like the element of surprise. I shuffled mine, but I don't plan on shuffling them every time. They will stay as they are and the ones I pick will be put in the back facing the wrong way to keep them separate. These cards will last a long time if you treat them right. The more important issue is the content. I am convinced they will do just what they are designed to do if you take them seriously. There is a card that explains how to get the best out of them. More people should do these exercises just because they bring out of us what needs our attention.

Adequate Content with Lacking Quality
The ACT Deck is written by the authors (Gordon and Borushok) as a companion to their book, The ACT Approach (although both the book and the deck can be used without the other). For those familiar with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a model of the Hexaflex exists which breaks up the six core processes into three pillars: Open (Acceptance and Defusion), Aware (Contact with the Present Moment and Self as Context), and Engaged (Values and Committed Action). The deck features three types of cards, each type representing one of these three pillars. Most of the cards are good, and I can imagine using them in my psychotherapy sessions. A few of the cards seem trivial, but these might be helpful with younger clients. The quality of the cards seems poor; they feel fragile and flimsy.

A Professional Deck
These cards are compact, easily handled, and each one is complete in itself. There is no guidebook needed, and there are no illustrations, so it keeps the reading simple and to the point. They lead to thoughtful discussions when used as an opener to the session, then other decks can be selected to round out the reading. Clients have responded favorably to these cards which are a bit smaller and less artistic than other decks, but they lend a different contemplative tone to a session.

I love this deck of cards!
I love this deck! I purchased the ACT, CBT and DBT deck and I love them! These are very affordable and assist in my therapy at home. Well worth the purchase.

i like the idea
I am a psychotherapist who works online. I thought these would jog my mind to simple strategies. That is true, I use them for that. But the sentiments on the cards can be too simplistic, too obvious, rather than on a professional level.

Open, Aware, Engaged - these cards are an essential tool for your wellness kit!
This deck was just what I needed to help when a client feels “stuck” or needs a little direction. I use this deck personally as well, to guide my day in a positive direction, to be more present, to show compassion to myself - and then I am better prepared to lead by example through my personal and professional life. I appreciate the portability of the deck for taking with me to client visits. The cards are separated into 3 categories, Open, Aware and Engaged - each category offers meaningful guidance that stimulates the user to become more in tune with and to hold space for oneself. Highly recommend!!
