Very solid, thick wire, really amazing value.

We installed over 3500' on telephone poles. Worked great. The messenger cable is very strong and easy to use.Keep in mind that the 2 pair conductors are 24ga wire so you must use the proper strippers and technique so as not to break the wires. Cutting the outside insulation without cutting into the 24ga wire is the prime factor to success.

Definitely not 24 ga. as it says. If you just look at it while trying to strip it it breaks, not good stuff!

I was looking for a way to provide internet connectivity between two boat slips that are 600' apart. It's too far for ethernet, but perfect for VDSL. This appears to be perfect for the run and was easy to hang along the existing lines using the built-in steel messenger and a few zip ties. In my application it is outdoors but under a boathouse roof so the UV rating wasn't as important, but still nice to have. Overall a great value for the money.

This is a great deal on phone cable with a steel messenger. The conductors strip easily (with a dull pocketknife, even) and I experienced no breaking. Itʻs been laid on the ground, some aerial, and in the rainforest - a tough environment. Weʻll see if it can resist water penetration, since itʻs not a filled cable.

This product is a scaled down version of old aerial phone line. Good quality and easy to splice. In the application that I'm using it for it is more than adequate. I'm not sure how durable it would be if it was suspended on utility poles.

This is phone cable, designed for outdoor runs. The outer casing is great, the steel trace wire is great. But the core copper wire is so unbelievably thin and brittle that I can't give this better than a "2". After stringing the wire I began stripping ends for the connection. I've done PLENTY of phone wiring; I know how to strip wire ends. I nearly ran out of lead wire because it kept breaking at the slightest touch -and I do mean "slightest". That is unacceptable.

This is what you need if you want to run your DSL line to another building. I have an 80 foot span to mine and it's holding up great. Steel cable for strength and two twisted pairs. Better than what the phone company used to the house. Amazing price for what you get.

This type of exterior telephone cable seems to be impossible to find in stores. It is not as thick or as heavy in terms of the overhead telephone cable used by the utility for the service drop, but for my purposes it is more than adequate for connecting an extension phone to my shed. Easy to work with, the conductors did NOT keep breaking as I was trying to remove the insulation.

This wire is sold as 300m or 636'.The roll is labelled 500'.If the length is important, you might be disappointed.

The first one is easy. Ad says 200m (656ft) what arrived was 500ft. So almost 50m short. Thankfully I didn't need more than 500ft for my application. Second, the wire is very brittle. It breaks very easily while stripping and with very little bending. It's really thin. Give yourself extra to work with. You may need a couple of shots at stripping and connecting to a terminal. The steel messenger was fine it is just the actual conductor that's fragile. It's installed and working. Not sure it will stay that way.

Purchased this product expecting to get 654 feet as advertised but only received 500. Got merchants contact information but have been unable to get in touch with anyone. Phone number keeps going to answering machine which is full so unable to even leave a message. Otherwise, product is as advertised and would give 5 stars of not for the false description.
