These Work Great! No issues!
They work! I'm always iffy about the as seen on tv items but half of them I try really are awesome and I end up loving them! Like my Ove Glove, this is another product I love! I have many indoor plants & I was going out of town for a week with nobody to water them. I bought 2 sets of these watering globes and used them while I was gone and they worked! My plants are still alive and the soil is moist. I did what other people said, I made sure the soil was well watered before I filled up the water globes and places them into my plant containers. I used these large globes to water my bigger plants! I think they work well with small indoor trees, larger flower plants, etc. They seem to be around 8-10" long. They hold a a lot of water. I use the mini globes to water my herbs too & they work great! I am going to keep using these to keep my plants watered, its easier then watering every day or every other day! The water just slowly drains into each pot of soil as needed. Some of my plants go through water faster then others but its easy to tell when they need to be refilled. They are also really pretty hand blown glass! I love the colors! I have been using mine for 3 months now & love them!

Work Great and are a great buy
This is a great buy for a 2 pack. The globes are gorgeous and they have that imperfect shapes that show that they are hand made. These are pretty simple and the physics are even simpler. You add water to the globe stick the spout in the water and as the dirt (after soaking it) and as the dirt dries it sucks the water in from the globe and keeps the soil moist. They seem to work pretty good and if you water the area with a sprinkler the globes go even further. When i put it in the soil did get in the pipe, but since it is soil it will pull the water and still work. I have not had any issue and these are a gorgeous addition to my flower pots.I will note that you need to put the spout away from the edge of the pot or the water will run out quickly, I find around 1.5 to 2 inches in seems to work pretty good!

Beautiful but delicate
We’ve had these for a few months and they work well. However, there are a couple of things to be aware of. The glass is thin and delicate towards the bottom. They have become clogged a few times, so you need to check them to insure they’re not clogged before you head out for vacation or they won’t be watering while you’re gone. Also, one of my two has already snapped off about 4 inches from the bottom. It’s still useable though.

These globes really perform like they're supposed to.
I have a house full of beautiful houseplants (well, OK, about 15 or so). During a recent renovation situation in our home, we had to be out of the home for two weeks while parts of the wood floors were replaced and all the wood floors were sanded and refinished. The plan was that everything, including the plants, would be moved into the carpeted bedrooms where the floors did not need repair. Because it was not going to be possible to get back in to water the plants, I did some research on line and decided these globes were probably my best option to keep them alive. I read many reviews, learned from them, purchased a bunch of globes in various sizes for the plants, and got the globes all set up and working. To do this, I made sure the soil was watered thoroughly in each plant before I inserted the globe. Inserted globes at slight angles (maybe 15° ?) and kept an eye on them for a couple of hours to make sure none were draining out. I put 2 or 3 globes into my largest plants (the kind that sit on the floor and are 4 or more feet tall - palm, ficus, Mother-in-Law's tongue, etc.) because some people seemed to indicate that the globes were good for only about a week.Well, as construction projects are often wont to do, this one didn't finish on schedule and it was nearly 4 weeks before I got back to the plants! All the globes were empty, but every single plant was in excellent shape! It's been another month now and I've left the globes in and am using them as my watering method. I swear, my plants have never looked this good. I've always considered myself as having a green thumb and generally don't struggle with keeping plants alive. There is a difference though between keeping plants alive and having them thrive beautifully. If I've been guilty of anything in the past, it's that I over-water or water inconsistently. Not any more! I just keep an eye on the bulbs and refill the empty ones. I love this product!

You can use these daily or while on a vacation
I have decided that I LOVE these and I am buying more. They can benefit your plants daily or whenever you are away from home.DAILY USE: I have flowers in my window boxes. They really need watering once a day, and it would be better if they were watered twice a day; there's no way I'm ever going to live up to that expectation! The poor things droop in great distress if I ever miss a day of watering. Now I just stick one of these bulbs in each window box (just insert it into the soil beneath the plant at an angle - no need to dig a hole or do anything fancy), and my flowers are happy all the time!!! They don't even suck all that much water from the bulbs; just what they need to keep the soil moist. I go out and water them every third day or so and refill the bulbs about every 4-5 days (depends on how hot and dry it is). I also tried them in a large flower pot whose occupant needed more water than all my other potted plants, and he sprung back to life! So these keep me from killing or torturing all of my potted plants, plus some of the fussier flowers in my garden.WHILE ON VACATION:I would only trust these to water my plants unattended for about three days if I really loved the plant. I use these outdoors in New Mexico, so I would bet that an indoor plant would be fine for five or six days. As other reviewers have noted, it is POSSIBLE for the flute of the bulb to get somewhat clogged with soil and be less effective, but it's rare. (It's also easy to unclog. Just run some water in there. I have never had one get really badly clogged.) Personally, I insert the water bulbs into the soil a day before leaving. I will notice a slight drop in water volume in the bulb if it's working as it's supposed to. If not, pull it out, check for a soil clog, and reinsert. Never had any real problems. These are really worth a try!
