I would buy for the first time Nad experience to try the benefits it has is a very good product.

Beware, this review is how I was affected and may not be the same for you. I bought this as a replacement for niacin. Even at 50mg, niacin causes me flushing, itching and significant pain for roughly an hour. Niacinamide does not have the same vasodilation in capillaries and does not cause me discomfort. To ensure I evaluated this properly, I did not change my diet, supplements or lifestyle. I started out with a 50mg dose in the early afternoon, a 1g dose in the early evening and a 1g dose at bedtime. Beware, toxicity can occur above 6g, so I believe I am in the safe zone, albeit without liver function tests this is an assumption.The results have been remarkable. I am a type 1 diabetic with various autoimmune issues and niacinamid seems to have improved simptions for most. My peripheral neuropathy pain is almost gone. My fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis pain is gone. My postoperative foot pain is gone (after three years). My Raynauds symptoms are improved, i.e. poor leg and feet circulation is improved. And, finally, my foot swelling is gone.Not bad for a $12 purchase! Multitude of pharmaceuticals never gave me this release.

I am taking this because my GP wants me on a statin and my cardiologist says no. I have not independently measured potency (difficult) but NOW is generally made in GMP facility, which means (put simply) it is what it says it is. That's great because FDA does not regulate supplements well.

but I'd rate this as excellent! seems to increase my energy level but not make my skin flush. recommended by my doctor in this form instead of regular Niacin. i take just one per day with food. I don't take every day as it can cause me sleeplessness.

I'm uncertain on the benefits, hence the middle-rating; it's one of those areas you have to study for yourself. Some nutritionists are purists and to them any additive shuts down your body's normal extraction, accumulation or manufacture of what it needs. Bluntly, someone in the family I admire, a senior of much experience, has a brother who upon adopting a daily regimen of these had serious ulcers just go away; he had heard of that treatment so he tried it, it worked for at least those two.I have GERD, so what could it hurt, obviously I'm not one of those nutritional purists or I wouldn't do this. Somebody I trust offered anecdotal evidence of something positive I was willing to hear and act upon.A contraindication from me based on my experience: If I take these regularly, even one a day, simply put, I get diarrhea, and that's my anecdotal experience. I'm trying to find some threshold of taking them that doesn't do that. As for any improvement on my ulceration, not that I know of, but an endoscopy awaits and then I'll hear something, but since I didn't have that endoscopy before I started talking these I won't have any correlation that's meaningful. I'm human, and I hear of a lot of people who try a lot of things (most stranger than this) to cure what ails. An old friend of mine used to have a saying when he heard me saying something he agreed with "No [ ] Sherlock!" and that's the point I'm trying to get to.Trust me when I say doing this is a whole lot better than what was happening to people a century ago who were seeking help from Dr John Harvey Kellogg. Those people went to Battle Creek Michigan and got more help than perhaps they wanted, help right up the wazoo (another place in Michigan).
