The sizes are true so don't order up a size. I've worn this to swim laps, it works well with such movement. I do wish that I ordered my true size because it is a little big. I struggle when things arrive smaller than are labeled. But that is not the case here. Use the chart.I can tell that the tummy coverage would be slimming if it wasn't a little big. I recommend these swim shorts for quality of fabric and stitching. They have already been washed (and hung dry) with great hold up. Drawstring is the best for fit. I want to match colors with other tops.

Run a little tight if you have large hips. Inside they have built in underpants, which was a surprise.

The somewhat stretchy swimsuit material is very soft and gentle on my skin, quick drying, and breathable. The wide waistband is flattering on my lower abdomen, and doesn't dig into my body. The dark forest is a beautiful teal, and exactly as I expected from the images.The workmanship of these shorts is excellent, and I found no flaws upon examination of the construction. At my age (60) and weight (190), I much prefer swim shorts to bikini bottoms. I normally wear XL, but I always seem to have to order up for swim suits, so I got these shorts in size XXL and they fit great. I recommend.
