Check to make sure the rubber feet has been removed from inside the unit. I didn’t know that the rubber feet was left in the unit and it nearly burned down my garage.

This little coal starter works great. It is a lot better than the other style, with the red heating element you have to rest the coals on. Those can only heat the coal from one side at a time, As to where this device bakes them from four of the six sides at a time.This little thing is actually very well-made. It is very sturdy, and stands up on its own. It is a lot like a hot plate, except there is a box with a heating element ran horizontally the length of it. This allows you to stick the coals on the little tray, and slide it right in the center of the coil.This burner starts coals fast. And, like eight or nine at a time. Plus, you can stick them on top too, if you need more room.Overall, this is a great device, especially for the price. It is very inexpensive, while being very well-made. Works great, as it is Supposed to, great design. Highly recommended.

DANGER: Do not buy. After unpacking it and removing everything I plugged it in and turned it on then not even 1 minute later it started smoking A LOT. After turning it off it combusted into flames. Too big to blow it out so I had to use a fire extinguisher.

this heats up coal very well and pretty fast, id day under 5 min and your ready to go. super easy to thrown into and have the coal ready and red before needing to replace them. this has multiple levels to heat up coals and keep them hot and ready while not over heating them to ash.

Short and simple. The heat output is decent. It does work. Let's how durable it is over time bit inhale been using it for a month so far every weekend.Putting coals on the top like in the pictures took forever just to light coals that way. Sticking it inside for a 360 heat does work better than I thought. Keep in mind I still suggest pulling it out and flipping it. Make sure to use on a vented space so it doesn't damage the internals like some other cheapy stoves I have used.

Works pretty well for heating up the charcoal cubes. The only main concern is looking further down at the product page the heating element coil having 500 lifespan so I’m not sure how that compares to the lifespan of other heating coils. The other kind of big thing is it mentions the use of asbestos between the base and heating area.
