A very sweet short story. No drama just instalove and smooth times ahead. Lovely way to kill half an hour.

Brilliant read as always from Olivia T Turner. She's bringing the spice, the Alpha males, the flanter, the curvy females, sports romance, long term crushes, engagement of convenience, fake fiancés, dual pov writing, pure love, instalove, instaromance and HEAs.Great start to what is going to be an epic series no doubt. 5/5 stars definitely a repeat read.

2.5 starsI was disappointed with this book, it could have been great but it wasn't for me.Sebastian is a hockey star who needs a better off-rink reputation to sign for a new team so he tells the team owner he's engaged, and names his sisters best friend.There are hints that his reputation is fabricated by the press, but its never mentioned again and it should have been. The first couple of chapters lead us to believe he is a man-wh0r3, but then the rest suggests he's had a thing for Alina all along. So was he or wasn't he? Who knows.With me so far? OK, so this is where it got strange. Sebastian hasn't seen Alina for 8 years, and just blurts her name out, no mention of ever having a crush or even wanting anything to do with her, but as soon as he see's her, he had hearts in his eyes. It just didn't make sense. It felt like I'd missed a few chapters of the story - why was it not mentioned that he also had a crush on her? That would have made so much more sense at this point.So we go from him randomly saying her name to her loosing her virginity (yeah, she saved it for him even though they hadn't seen each other for nearly a decade), in the closet of his new boss - seriously!? Her first time, and he takes her in a closet! I'd be insulted.The best part of the book is the epilogues. We get 2 months, 10 years, and then 40 years - all very sweet and wholesome.

I love the story and the characters are so believable you can almost feel the heat as they get close. It's a cute love story, with steamy closets.

A childhood crush, bff older brother, little sisters bff , sports romance with heat and dual povs. Alina and Sebastian grew up together, hadn’t seen each other for years as he went on to become a famous hockey player but in order to get signed up to a new team Sebastian has to change his playboy style so a fake engagement is the way to go! Alina is blinkered and still in love with him that she agrees. It was a great story with plenty of steam and banter. The only downside for me was how naive FMC seemed ( she saved herself for him,) yet bypassed the fact that he on the other hand couldn’t keep it in his pants although he proclaimed he had always loved her too!. Fake became reality. Look forward to Tuckers book. Ps. Great book cover. 😜

I’m a Canadian so hockey is in our blood even though I was not born here.Love the start of this new series with the Sniper and a closets designer. Sebastian and Alina were a perfect couple that were meant to be. They each had a feeling for each other but a little white lie brought them together.A great short love story to make you feel good. Love the epilogues so much. Can’t wait for the next story.

First off I do like this Author. I have bought quite a few of her books and when I saw this book was going to be in SA I immediately borrowed it on Kindle Unlimited w/o even reading the description. It was from an Author I liked and in a place I consider home, even though I don’t live there now. It is obvious that this author has never been to San Antonio, lol. It was proved in the 1st Chapter at the end when MMC said “we exit the building into the hot desert sun.” I lived in SA and moved to where I am living right now which is El Paso, WHICH is the 🌵 🦂TX is a huge state and has different Geographies and even has 2 time zones. SA is actually very humid usually and only a couple of hours away from some beaches. EP is in west TX and very dry and sunny ☀️ weather. It also has mountains. SA is the 7th largest city in the US and is bigger than Dallas by population, just giving a geography lesson for any future books, lol. 🤓I’m saying all this to say I read it thru KU and it was good so I want to read more in the series but I’m not buying it. I like that it had multiple epilogues and even 50 years into the future😀. The one scene was hot, which I love, would liked more, but it wasn’t enough to buy the book. The book just seemed a little weird like it was written by 2 authors. But like I said I do like this author and I’m going to borrow the 2nd book right after I return this one.ALSO just a FYI if you use KU, readers need to scroll all the way to the end where it says “READ” on the book or the author won’t get credit. 👊🏻

Alina has been crushing on Sebastian ( a famous amazing hockey player) since the 2nd grade when she became best friends with his sister. Sebastian has been crushing on Alina for the same length of time. Each never said anything to each other or anyone else. All that changes when his agent says he has a girlfriend and he adds to the lie by saying they’re engaged. Of course it’s all a lie made up to prove he’s no longer “newsworthy” so the billionaire owner of the worst team in hockey will sign him to the team. Sebastian wins the girl, joins the hockey team and helps bring it from the bottom to the best team ever. Everyone lives happily ever after and I can read this book forever and ever.

This book is super sweet and remarkably short. If you like a little angst with your romance this isn’t the book for you. It’s a very quick read with a little over 100 pages. So if you are looking for a quick, sugary read, this is the book for you.
