Nice! A Great Starter Set!
I bought the rest of the set of this particular knife, because ordering the 3 other knives from Amazon was cheaper than what I paid at the store for ONE (Including shipping!!!!) I made some Maki Rolls last night, and just TAPPED my left index finger, and cut it enough to break out the duct-tape! I hv Henkels at home, and I love them, but I needed good knives here and for the price and quality, this is a good buy! Not just this particular knife but the WHOLE set is worth the money, if you like to cook and wished you had a good knife set, this is what you need! Just for reference; I do Texas BBQ at State Fairs and local events around the country. I hv used a variety of knives for many purposes, you get the tool you need. This 'set' is AWESOME for household use; even though the 7" Sanduko will cut thru bone with a little effort, I hv better tools for that. The paring knives are awesome, great for trimming fat and peeling veggies. This blue 5anduko is the best knife I hv found for all around trimming big portions of meat (a 5lb brisket, etc. . .) good grip, nice edge, and it just looks cool with the sky-blue color If I had known about these Farber Ware Knives first, I do not think I would have paid for the Henkels!. Happy cooking folks!

Bought them like 2 years ago and still use and love them.
These have definitely held up. I made this purchase at least 2 years ago and I still love and use them! I'll be honest, I did lose their cases long ago, but that was just a bonus anyway. Most of my knives are in cutting blocks. I love all 3. The little green one is a great pairing knife. The serenaded is good and has stayed sharp all this time. The purple one I use for standard cutting. I do sharpen them regularly. A good chef knows how important and safe having a sharp knife is. I originally bought these just because I needed a few good knives and I thought they were pretty. They are still just as pretty and fully functional today as the day I received them. I would for sure purchase them again and recommend them to anyone. Farberware makes a lot of quality products and these are for sure one of them. None of the tips have broken and the rubber grip handles are still like new. I will add that I never put any knives in the dishwasher. I suspect that's why they remain in great condition. But if you are looking for some decently priced, cute and functional knives... look no further. Definitely get them. Good Luck

Beautiful and sharp.
Come very sharp and I love that they have a cover. I have never cut meat so quickly before. With the chef's knife I butchered a raw chicken in about 2 minutes and I have no experience cutting a raw bird! Also cut a beef roast into stew meat like I was cutting a refrigerated stick of butter. Chops veggies very quickly and minced garlic perfect. The paring knife is just as amazing. Mostly use it for fruit. I don't have a knife block for them, so it is nice that I can just throw these in the drawer. I actually put them on a high shelf in my cupboard to keep the away from my children. No risk of anybody getting hurt if they fall with the cover. They are very attractive. My covers are different than pictured, but I think it is a great update. I have the chef's knife with the old cover and it catches sometimes as I put it in. Also The red utility knife I received is a straight blade, not serrated, but I prefer it that way. These get used daily, several times a day. Now I just need a good sharpening stone to keep them sharp. Love them!

SHARP, but perfect set if you don’t need a ton of knives
Great knife set! I gifted to my daughter, who is in her early 20s. She didn’t need a huge set, just a few multipurpose knives to use for everything. That said, she sliced right through her finger within weeks of owning, requiring several stitches. Completely her fault - who cuts cantaloupe in their hand?!? LOL! Honestly, her special ability to hurt herself is another reason I looked into this set. The protective sleeves are a plus! Overall, very sharp, just the essentials - great knives for the price. 👍🏻

Cute, sharp, and great quality!
I forgot to pack my good knife on a long work trip and needed a good one that wasn't pricey. For under ten bucks, this knife is a blessing and a must! It's stainless steel with coating on the blade (except for the blade's edge, that's left as stainless steel). It's got little ridges that keep whatever you're cutting from sticking on the knife in true santoku knife fashion. I love the bright color, it's plated on very well, no scratches or wear will take that off. The weight is very well balanced and fits in my hand perfectly. The edge is sharp and it makes great cuts, from meat to produce. Cutting up a watermelon was an adventure, as the blade is only 5-inches long, but I really didn't mind. I highly recommend this for an extra, good quality knife in the kitchen, camping, or college students. I love the sturdy plastic sheath it comes with, I just pop it on and toss the knife in my kitchen drawer without worrying that someone is going to cut themselves digging through the drawer. I love my little blue knife!

Great purchase, great price, performance A+
I received this item in perfect condition. My son wanted to be the first one to “test drive” it. My review, in response to just my removing it from its package, washing and sanitizing both the knife and sheath, I’m able to say the handle is “spongey-ish”, easy to grip, no slippage when wet. Now, watching my son “test drive” the knife...first he says it’s very sharp and watching him slice through the joints of the wings...Was smoothly done. I’d recommend this brand if you’re just looking for a great knife and not necessarily needing an entire set at the moment. If it sliced easily through wing joints, I’m quite sure this knife will be a wizz on fruits and veggies especially pineapples... Have a great one.

Great knives for the price
Farberware generally has good quality products and these are no exception. These are not $50 knives, granted, but they are still pretty good for the price. The handhelds feel geed, the blades come sharp and the cases are handy for those not storing in a block. Its worth noting these are steel knives, when i first went to buy these i always bought them thinking they were ceramic, which i have had good experience with, but they are in fact stainless steel. Well, "high carbon stainless" as advertised. Final thoughts: I think these knifes are great for new home, apt, dorm people that are just starting out. Those that aren't ready to invest in a real set of knifes. They will work well and last a while but they are not lifetime knives (they are not intended to be either, so no points taken off). **Please click the button below if you thought this was helpful

Fun colors but NOT ceramic knives
I bought this set of knives to replace old knives that lost their "edge" many years ago. I had been curious about trying ceramic knives and mistakenly thought that's what these were, but I was fooled by the resin coating. The blades themselves are metal. The knives are very sharp and do a good job of cutting. I only have one complaint. The guard for the red, serrated knife is not easily removable. The purple and green guards slide on and off the knives easily. The knives themselves are uniform in quality, but it does bother me that the sizing of the guard on the one knife is defective, and I'm planning to call Amazon customer service to complain. I think it's a fluke with this particular set, and I don't mean to discourage anyone from ordering them. I am pleased with the set overall.
