Excellent, irreverent children’s mystery book
As with all the Eerie-on-Sea books, Mermedusa delivers a well-paced, enjoyable read that is perfect for any child who is a fan of the mystery genre. The familiarity of the returning characters and places immediately connected my son back into the Eerie world, whilst the new adventure kept him asking for constant page turning. Whilst he enjoys reading himself, we have really loved reading this series of books together as bedtime stories. They are imaginative, fun and hold just the right amount of jeopardy. Highly recommended

Great series
I just loved it, the whole series. And I am already missing Herbie and Vi, Eerie and all the other characters. I am looking forward to when my kids will be a little older so we can read them together again.I really hope the author has other stories in his mind and will publish them soon.

Brilliant conclusion to the series
I've been holding my breath for the end of this series, concerned that all the mysteries of Eerie-on-Sea couldn't possibly be brought to a coherent and satisfying conclusion. I needn't have worried; Thomas Taylor comes through with flying colours. My only regret on finishing 'Mermedusa' was that...I'd finished it! Hope Herbie and Violet will have new adventures some day.

Great book a must for eerie on sea fans
Although I have a preordered copy of Mermedusa by Thomas Taylor - author/illustrator on order from the booknook. I couldn’t resist downloading the kindle copy. I have just finished it and it’s great to have a conclusion, but I can’t help but feel sad that my adventures with Eerie on Sea have come to an end with Herbie and Vi’s. All good things come to an end I guess! But I can’t wait to introduce the Malamander to more children as they come through the school and share the tales of Eerie on sea with them. And of course I can alway pop back and revisit the previous adventures.Thank you Mr Taylor for a great series of books! If you teach in upper key stage two, read these books to your class, so a while topic on Malamander - there is so much you can do with this story.
