TomTomCampervan and Caravan Sat Nav GO Camper Max 2nd gen. (7" screen with camper and caravan POIs, updates via Wi-Fi, TomTom Traffic, saving vehicle profiles, world maps, avoid low emission zones)

Works very well ,new features and very controllable only small problem I noticed was the volume control was not adjustable when route was set !only before which was a bit annoying as I had set it to low on setup !other than that was very easy to use olthough it did fall of windscreen twice on journey which maybe was my fault in not cleaning windscreen properly ,

Really easy to use and set up. Especially helpful as can put motorhome dimensions in it. Took us over 1000 miles around Scotland and never missed a beat

Bought for navigation in a motorhome. Initially took forever to load maps. It had difficulty in guiding to final destination. First problem was an off road destination. Tried to have me go round in circles for the last kilometre. Next problem was to a commercial caravan park. This time it had me drive past the park and go on to a Ministry of Defence firing range and drive across sand dunes. The range was live as the red flags were up and we could hear the gun fire. Of course I turned back and used a paper map and road signs. Next problem was due to a misunderstanding of the display. It should have been a left turn but the road image was chequered. I assumed the road was unsuitable for a motorhome. I turned right and proceeded. The unit changed the route but a little further on it repeatedly told me to turn left up peoples driveways and forest paths which were clearly not suitable for a motorhome. I assumed it needed an update so used paper maps and road signs. On returning home I attempted a reload of maps and an advised update. This appeared to freeze and I gave up and returned the item.

Very pleased with this satnav. Large screen. Ample notice for junctions, turns. Even though unit picks best route one can still adjust to, for example, avoid tolls. Recent location feature is excellent for my work. Only done one journey with caravan to date but no problems encountered. So far so good.

I’ve had TomToms since they were first introduced many years ago. They have just stopped ‘lifetime’ support for my 6200 camper model with built in SIM traffic included which was a fantastic model. I’m technically very competent but this new model does NOT work as described to give live traffic updates. Yes TomTom I have followed the online help and FAQs but you just can’t get it connected to a new model iPhone hotspot via Bluetooth. It says it’s connected but the traffic doesn’t work! After fiddling and resetting lots of times I worked out the only way to get it to work is to connect to the phone hotspot via WiFi so it’s fooled into thinking it’s actually connected to wifi and then it works. When working it’s accurate like the old models for traffic and the screen is clearer with better lane guidance but the petrol prices are completely inaccurate and the turn animations are hugely distracting - but of course you can turn those off. They need to update the instructions so you connect via wifi rather than Bluetooth to the phone hotspot or update the tomtom software so it works!

Nice big 7 inch screen. Good volume control. Cheaper than halfords.

I have got a motorhome so I put all the dimensions in the sat nav I was in a different part of the country sat nav said go straight ahead but there was a low bridge ahead only I seen the sign don't no if was just a glitch haven't been out again yet so will see also giving wrong prices on petrol stations and I updated everything .
