I have successfully been on a keto diet for almost a year now and my weight and health have improved in leaps and bounds over the past year. The authors of this book have already won me over with previous publications, but I am always interested in educating myself and learn something new about the topic. In this book, the authors lay out the basics of the keto diet and address a whole array of diseases that can, if not cured, be positively influenced by a keto livestyle. Each disease has a customized approach, applying 6 different principles: lowering Insulin levels with diet, avoiding additives that raise insulin levels, moderate protein intake, eliminate problem medications, add medications that help, and consider appropriate supplementation. The whole approach pivots on regulating insulin levels and really goes into detail with each disease. The recipes at the end of the book are all great.Reading this book, gave me a lot of new insights, although I am not new to the keto concept. Particularly helpful is the formula for daily protein requirements, differentiated by gender and activity level. Based on this it is also easy to figure out the daily fat requirement. I am sure I will read this book over a few times and do my own research based on the recommendations.

The. Best. Keto. Book. Eva.
I’ve been listening to the authors of this book, Jimmy Moore and Doc Muscles on their podcasts for what seems like years and years. They are a wealth of knowledge for optimal health especially if you have gained and lost weight and yoyo dieted. Their protocol gave me more energy and helped me lose 40 Lbs. Nothing has ever worked this long and this well for me before! I love these two authors to pieces. Do yourself a BIG favor and buy this book, then read every page and gaze at every picture. Then read it again and again and again. And stay focused by listening to their podcasts and reading / following them on social media. Maria E is an awesome recipe builder and i have followed her website for 3-4 years. The recipes included by Maria are beautiful!5 stars won’t do—need 10-20-100 stars!

A great replacement or addition to Keto Clarity
I have to admit I was a little worried that this book would just be a re-hash of Keto Clarity (which I loved). I was relieved to see that my worries were not warranted. There is some similar info in this book but Dr. Nally definitely goes into more detail. This book is great for newbies and keto geeks like myself.I liked the layout with doc talking in the center of the pages and Jimmy adding clarity to the edges.I have been and will continue to recommend this book to friends and family.Maria’s recipes are great though I have only tried 2 so far.My only complaint and it is a small one, is the binding on the book. With all those awesome recipes, this would be a lot easier to use if it had come in spiral binding so that I could lay the book flat. As it is I find myself copying the recipe to paper or PC and then printing it.Great Job! Dr. Nally, Jimmy and MariaTina

The Keto book that takes it to the next level
I’ve purchased most of the Keto books and have gleaned new pieces of information from each and everyone. From yummy recipes, to understanding macros, to learning how we are each bio individual and to work with our own path to getting healthier. But this book takes every aspect of the Keto journey to a whole new level. A must have as we in the Keto community navigate our own way to health and weight loss.

If you buy only one book on the ketogenic diet, make it this one.
I have purchased a ridiculous number of keto-related books and cookbooks, several of which I regret spending the money on. But this is a treasure! If any of you received a copy from the defective printing run, rest assured that it will be replaced by Amazon.com and Victory Belt Publishing. Not to worry!What's different about this book is how well organized it is, how comprehensive the summary of research about keto and various health conditions, and the visually appealing way of organizing the information. You not only have a keto-experienced doctor on board, you also have Jimmy Moore contributing his vast knowledge and experience with low carb, Paleo and keto, making this probably the most up-to-date, informative book on ketogenic diets out there. I haven't read the entire book yet (mine arrived yesterday), but I did skim extensively and read several of the sections on research regarding keto and specific conditions and recommendations. Science-based, up-to-date, reader-friendly... and I haven't even gotten to the yummy-looking recipes yet. If you buy only one book on the ketogenic diet, make it this one.

I have only had the Kindle version for a little over 24 hours and am only a third of the way through the book... But let me just say.... If I only knew then what I know now".... I suffer from psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and feel like this book along with so many other greats in the Keto field would have saved me years of needless pain and suffering had I known about "the truth" and the keto lifestyle years ago!!!!! Thank you all for speaking truth!!

A 'scientific' treatise, not a how-to book
If there's a step-by-step plan in this book, it's well hidden. I wanted clear facts, shopping lists, meal plans, what to avoid, what to expect, and recipes. I got recipes, and not enough of them to warrant the price for this book. Plenty of them for free on the internet! I'm upset with myself for buying this book rather than piecing a plan together for free from available free sites.

The answer to not only "indigestion" but to overweight and the problems that come with it
The ketogenic lifestyle is working for me and my husband. I've never felt so good in 6.5+ decades. Our meals are simple but delicious and we never have to seek out "antacids" to improve digestion (antacids do not improve digestion, they block stomach acid that is required for complete digestion) because the foods we eat are basic and support our good health. Anyone using antacids needs this book.

A 'Must Read' for anyone considering a Ketogenic Diet
Unlike another (Amazon Customer) reviewer I have actually read this book and have found it amazingly informative and packed full of science backed information. Written by Dr Adam Nally, a fully qualified doctor who specialises in obesity medicine, it has contributions from Jimmy Moore and recipes from Maria Emmerich. I sought out this book after it was recommended by a low carb blogger whose opinion I value, and was stunned by the only (at the time) review on Amazon.co.uk. That review was so damming and negative, and seemingly so ignorant of the content, that I felt compelled to buy it, and I'm so glad I did! It explains in very understandable language why a ketogenic diet could be helpful to your health, and then offers advice how to make it work effectively for you. I am convinced this will help me enormously. The only slightly confusing thing is Amazon's assertion that it is authored by Jimmy Moore rather than Dr Nally. That obviously fooled 'Amazon Customer' who clearly has a bee in his bonnet about Mr Moore!

Why no shopping list?
Yet another book on curing oneself that goes into great detail about the benefits of their method and as much of the science that a non-professional can not ingest then has a half arsed section on the actual diet one is supposed to follow with no, absolutely no, shopping list. I have lost interest in curing anything. How about this, to all self help people, print one sheet of things you can eat and things you can't eat and how much of each ingredient constitutes a day's allowance. Oh yes, as well please assume that I don't have The Tears of an Angel or pomegranate seeds picked from the upper slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro tucked away in the back of my cupboards.

Not An Easy Read
Oh boy where do I begin? This book would be very interesting to someone in a medical field or someone who enjoys learning the technical side of it all. Not me....where this book should have be glued to its pages, the ongoing “big” words just bore me. The author is speaking in medical jargon here.

Excellent Reference Book for Keto
Another great work from Jimmy Moore and Dr. Adam Nelly, Maria Emmerich. These guys are doing their best to shout out about Ketogenic Lifestyle to help world who s very sick and dying every second from Metabolic disiseas such as Diabetes, Cancers, Cardio Vascular Diseas, Alzeimer etc.. I lost my mum to Diabetes related stroke 2.5 yrs ago if only her Dr s knew about Ketogenic Diet then she could be alive today :( And I m strongly recommending Ketogenic Diet since to all! We need to understand what so called Modern World eating habits doing to us! And from Jimmy Moore, from his books, his Podcasts I have learned a lot about Keto and I met extraordinary Doctors like Dr. Adam Nelly. I can never enough thank them for their times and efforts. I feel lucky and so fortunate that we all have this internet technology so we can reach and communicate teach other to change the world. Ketogenic Diet s rocking the world, shaking it so hard with big waves so hold on tight guys/girls we are all witnessing big changes in Health and Medical History thanks to Jimmy Moores Adam Nellys Maria Emmerichs and others who s following and spreading Keto.

Must read for keto brains.
This book sums up tons of useful information Dr. Nally delivered in the podcast and lectures in a very comprehensive way. He is, without a doubt, one of the best especialists on the ketogenic diet and it's effects on the human body.The first part is a little heavy, considering the author added political and economical data to show the importance of a paradigm shift nutrition wise (not for everyone, but I enjoyed). The middle is awesome, as it explains a lot of the pathways to health degeneration, applies the keto principles to the main metabolic diseases and gives tips to supplementation and medications to specific populations. The third part is about recipes (insteresting too, if you need to add a little something different to your diet).
