This is a collection of essays that speak to his personal experience as a novelist... while he doesn't specifically address the craft of writing (from his perspective) he manages to include a lot of "how I do it" information. It's an incredibly thought provoking collection.

Excellent book by an excellent author. I was so happy to be able to order this from Amazon Italy, in English version. It is a good first-read, but needs also to be re-studied, taking notes, and applying it to your own practices, if you want to remember all he offers and put it to use in your own writing life. Wonderful book. Thank you.
