I had another litter genie for quite a number of years that I need to replace it. But there were things about the old one that I found a little annoying so I decided to replace it with this one and I’m really glad I didHere are the reasons why I like this litter genie better than the other.1. This one DOESN’T have a spring enclosure but regardless it still does a great job of trapping in and keeping out litter odor.My previous genie: had a spring loaded enclosure to trap the litter in the smell. This made it hard to open with one hand when you have a full scooper in the other.2. This new Genie is more economically designed so when you open the lid to scoop the litter, it stays open whereas the old genies lid sometimes would close when you’re in the middle of scooping.I have three cats who are champion poopers this little genie is doing a great job and I’m very happy withThe only thing negative I have to say is that the lid flips open a little easier than the old one so if you need to move it, just grab it from the bottom so you don’t have any spilling accidents.

This works fine, I can clean the litter perfectly. The size is great and the litter inside never smells. My only objection is it’s a little more complicated than the first model. The door that drops the litter in to the bottom also opens up the top where the refill bags go and if you don’t snap it tightly it keeps flopping open. The lower part to remove the waste has a complicated procedure, a little tricky but nothing I can’t handle. Finally the hand slot to carry the Genie is way down at the bottom, making it awkward to move around.

I wish I had known of this years ago. It is 2 minute set up and air tight no smell. It has a blade inside that cuts the bag like butter when you're ready to tie off and throw out. love love love this! There is no pre cut bags in this roll so you can pull it down as much or little as you want and tie off anywhere.

The media could not be loaded. Overall it's a decent product. I like how easy it is to use compared to the original litter genie pail. I can pull the release handle with one hand and it's easier to change out the bags and replacement refills. It's so easy to open it up but if you're someone that moves the pail often, it's not that convenient. The handle is located in the back middle of the pail - which makes for awkward transporting aroundIt however does NOT contain the smell as well. It could be that because the handle area at the back directly leads to where the waste is at...For what it is, it is a bit expensive especially having to buy refilling- not to mention that it's not really environmentally friendly. I have been purchasing generic refill bags but ive noticed that those are thinner than the brand name ones. So beware !

Have had this genie device for one week and it kept an entire week's worth of cat waste (we have 1 adult cat) easily-no odor, no mess!! It is very well designed, easy to use, and looks sleek/unobtrusive. The cutting implement inside the canister for removing a full bag is genius. This contraption has really made life easier and less smelly. Previously used poop bags and they end up stinking up the garbage can.

I have an elderly (18 year old) cat that has recently decided walking through the length of the house to use the litter box is not acceptable, so she started going on the carpet in my bedroom. I wasn't particularly thrilled about a litter box in my room, but didn't have many other choices. I figured out real quick that something like the diaper genie would be really handy and make cleaning the litter box daily less of an annoyance. It does a good job of capturing the odors, I think the capacity of litter that can go in a bag before it needs to be tied off and dumped is really good, and appreciate the scoop holder on the side of the unit. I'm very happy with this purchase.
