Item arrived on time and well packaged. I've not used it yet so cannot comment on its effectiveness but it certainly looks like good quality and I'm expecting it to be much easier and quicker to use than masking tape

I’ve had four of these now, perfect for many decorating applications, good quality at a great price.

Good solid equipment. Just don't put too much paint on the brush or it finds its way underneath and ruins the line. Practice first if possible.

Brilliant tool for keeping a straight edge especially so for the not so steady handed

On the face of it a good idea ,but I didn't find it of any real use .No matter how much pressure I applied to keep tight to the wall , paint still damaged to seep behind it ... I ended up using Frog Tape instead ...I have returned the item

Arrived on time, well packaged and well constructed. I’ve only used it for keeping colours separated during painting the kitchen eg. Between walls and ceiling coving. Reasonably successful but I had to keep removing paint from the blade to avoid colour transfer. Quicker than using masking tape but needs lots care to ensure no colour transfer. Hopefully will become more proficient as I do more painting which would enable me to increase my rating.

Amtech products are good. I've got a lot of them. Always quality made. This paint shield is excellent. The problem with many paint shields is the blade is too thick - especially on the plastic ones. Also the longer one now. This product from Amtech has a stainless steel blade that's thin. In fact I wouldn't like to run my finger along its edge thin.The surround holding it is made from dense, quality rigid plastic. You can tell by the feel of it that it's good & substantial. And it is rigid - it doesn't bow at all. Together they make the shield very precise when cutting in. Used it today to cut in walls up to a coving with emulsion & then round door architraves with oil based paint. Excellent results both times.Very reasonably priced for a tool of this quality with a three year guarantee.

Works well and handy being long
