Brady Hawkes (Kenny Rogers), his son Jeremiah (Charles Fields) and Billy Montana (Bruce Boxleitner) are on a train bound for a high-stakes game in San Francisco when a gang of vicious outlaws stops the train. Charlie McCourt (Mitch Ryan) and his murderous gang are after gold being transported by railroad baron Arthur Stobridge (Harold Gould). When Stobridge informs McCourt that the gold is on its way by stagecoach to the town bank in Jubilee, McCourt takes young Jeremiah as a hostage and demands a $1 million ransom. Brady and Billy embark on a quest to rescue Jeremiah before McCourt's gang reaches Jubilee and they enlist the help of the beautiful bounty hunter Kate Muldoon (Linda Evans).

The Gambler
It was great to see this movie again; don't know why TV stations have not shown it in many years. Kenny Rogers has been a really good singer since his days w/ The First Edition through his switch to country style music & The Gambler theme song is 1 of his best [Ruby is another good song]. Not only is he a good singer, Rogers is a pretty good actor in his role as Brady Hawks too. The supporting actors in The Gambler are also good, & the story keeps your interest throughout. If you like westerns, & don't have The Gambler in your collection, it's a good un'.

Great movie...always loved the song and finally got the movie.Kenny Rogers was really good in this movie and I really enjoyed it.I am sure I will watch this flick many times and still enjoy it each time...Thanks

Excellent performance by Johnny Crawford.
This is a good show with good action and fun. As a young cowboy, Johnny Crawford really does a great job handling the action scenes and portraying the young cowboy!

I'll be honest. I haven't seen any of the gambler movies. I bought this for my step dad. He told me he enjoyed it a lot. Besides, I like westerns too. And any western with kenny rogers has to be good.

it was prompt service from pickering ontario, it arrived this morning, and i will send for another one , next month for my fiance, we both love kenny rogers,, he is our idol now, and he is in our hearts forever, thanks again, the best one ever, I think there are 2 more Gambler movies out there, I will buy them all, R.I.P. Always liked the Gambler films with Kenny Rogers. Don't expect them to be musicals, they're just good western themed films.
