Better than a thin machete! Work and war ready.
The machete was delivered on the same day I ordered it. This is a handmade wide blade that is manganese infused, allowing the edge to become more durable the more it is used. It also sharpens wonderfully on a whetstone. The handle can also be removed for travel or for repair purposes. Lastly, the spine of the machete is widened to add structural integrity to prevent the blade from warping or bending. 5 stars is not enough, for a proper rating of my new limb chopper. Recommend absolutely!

Comes with "free" handle! Lol
This seems more designed to split wood along with a small sledge hammer more than as a brush cutter. It is HEFTY.Downside is the wooden handle is a bit thin and short compared to the product photos. They cleverly say in the paperwork that the handle is included as a gift, so take it or leave it. I'll be adding a 1¼" wooden handle. It might be good with a full length 36" handle on it but it will take some field testing to see what works best.I think ideally, a long hatchet type handle would be best with a curve for better ergonomics.

Sturdy billhook blade, make your own handle
For the price this is an excellent tool, first off ditch the handle they give you, handles shouldn't be round or they will twist when you use it. Buy a hickory handle from a hardware store and customize it yourself, a small sledge hammer handle worked best for me, I used my belt sander to make it tapered at the top for the blade and I made the sides flat for an ideal handle. It's perfect, no slipping, I've chopped down soo many bushes and small trees with this in the last few days.Make sure you make this into a quality tool yourself, the blade is pretty great, use a wedge, wood glue, maybe even epoxy if you need to, it will be worth the effort.

Rugged but needs tweaking
This is very rugged and cuts excellent. However it is ground too thin and the blade edge chipped and bent when chopping larger stems. Just need to refile. Also the wooden handle is smaller than the hole so it doesn’t stay put with provided nail. I would suggest replacing handle with a better fit.

Not a quality product.
Cheap, poor quality product, to put it bluntly. The handle is light, and too small. The attachment to the handle is a nail that doesn’t go completely through. The blade itself dulls quickly and bends too easily.

Great Tool!
I got this and knocked down all kinds of buckthorn, shrubs, and small saplings that were in the way. The wooden handle was mediocre, and used a small screw instead of the included nail to attach it. Most of the time my hand was on the metal part where the wooden portion goes on anyway. It reminds me of the handle on a cold steel bushman. So far I have been thoroughly satisfied. I only paid $16 bucks for it. The quality and usefulness vastly outperform for the cost. I also just used an old plastic chain saw cover as a sheath even though it was not a perfect fit. It will keep me from getting cut off I throw this in the truck or tractor. I think this is a great little tool that could replace a hatchet or a large knife. I'm very happy that I have this tool!

Heavy duty 💪
Custom service was excellent and the tool itself is very sharp and well made I have 10 billion little oak trees that sprout up and this tool makes short work of them I will be adding a longer handle that's an easy fix highly recommend

Cheap junk
Cheap junk and honestly not worth the price. The round handle makes it impossible to index at the correct angle it also allows the tool to spin in your hand as you use it. The offsetting of the handle makes it worse. The nail given in the set doesn't secure the handle well at all. I ended up using a screw. I found the steel to be way too soft to handle cutting even things like mesquite trees. After 10 or so minutes the blade bent to the left and then right. While this tool is 22 inches long it's still short for use. The pictures make it seem much longer than that and are deceptive.
