These were very easy to use. I had done lots of research prior but was glad these came with a booklet with lots of easy to read info. I was worried about the spiles breaking when I hammered them into the tree and when I took them out but they held up well. Looking forward to using these for years to come as we perfect our tapping skills!

I was really excited to give these a try. After I set them into the maple trees I found that they were slow to show signs of sap running through. I came back a couple days later and there was still little to no sap, but there was sap running down the tree at the bottom of the spile. I changed these out and put metal spiles in the same spot and they produced like crazy almost immediately.

Great!! Tapped 60+ gallons of sap in three weeks time- have a gallon of the most fantastic maple syrup, not yucky tasting like store bought, it is sweet and the color of honey. Also made maple sugar when I overcooked some sap. The taps cleaned very easy when we were done and stored them in a two gallon zip lock bag anxious to do this again next year.

The kit worked great on the trees I tried it on. Comes with a simple maple syrup manual.

Not sure what problems could arise from these, but they worked great.

Used these this winter. Quality ok and the kit I receiv d is what they described!
