Excellent Wide-Angle Camera with Great Smart Home Integration
The Reolink Duo 3 PoE is a fantastic camera with impressively sharp and clear image quality. Recording to the SD card is straightforward and hassle-free. I’ve integrated mine with Scrypted and Home Assistant, and the process was incredibly smooth - setup was simple, and it works brilliantly for automations. One minor drawback is the limited vertical field of view. While the camera offers an ultra-wide perspective, it doesn’t capture much height, which can be a limitation depending on where it’s installed. That said, it’s still an excellent purchase overall and performs extremely well in both image quality and smart home compatibility.

Great for the front of the house
Great wide angle of coverage, a little shallower than I'd hoped but it is superb quality.

A very impressive 8k cctv camera
I've been buying Reolink cam for 5 years now and they are some of the best on the market. This one was something a bit different. An 8k night vision. It uses 2 4k cameras and stitches them together to make one 8k very wide angle video. It has night colour vision as well which gave a good colour image. It has LEDs that produce enough white light to give colour. The resulting 8k image is pretty impressive. This camera is not perfect though as I use my cameras for recording wild life and need to be able to edit the video. 8k images and software to view and edit these files is very scarse. It also has a delay in activating the colour night vision of about 8 seconds..I'm sure this could be fixed by the tech guys.In SummaryIf you just want to use it as a cctv surveillance camera these nothing on the market that can beat this 8k camera. It's a very well built camera. Plus Reolink gives you a 2 1/2 warranty. So what's not to like.If they can fix the delay in the colour night vision I would have given this camera 5 stars.

Stopped working after 6 months
I purchased a new Reolink NVR and cameras. The Duo 3 stopped working after 6 months which is disappointing. My old system lasted 8 years with no issues. Had to have the Duo 3 taken down and tested with a short lead direct to NVR which also failed. Factory reset and still failed. Now worried about the other cameras failing. I noticed the Amazon listing now states this item is frequently returned, wish I had read that before deciding to choose Riolink.

Picture quality
This is an outstanding camera, it works very well, but two bad points, it's not a 16MB image, it's two 8MB images stitched together from 2 separate cameras, the proof is in the digital zoom, which is my second point, it is not very good for a 4k camera, it's great as a spotting camera to back up a true 8MB 4k 36x optical PTZ camera. I do hope they can improve on this because the concept is unique, I will be waiting.......On the other hand, support from Reolink has to be on the top with a few of the best, and that's hard to come across in this day and age.

Low storage capacity.
I’ve replaced my 4K Uktrawide Reolink camera with this one. Probably better if I hadn’t.Continuous recording will only give you about 50 hrs of footage with the maximum capacity SD card. That’s pretty useless if you require 24 hour surveillance. The 4K camera (2K each of the two cameras) gives about 60 Hrs of storage. So that’s something you need to consider if you’re reliant on its internal storage.Image wise: the two 4K cameras are a little better but is offset by the narrow 55 degree vertical image. The app works well on iPad or iPhone. And the camera is a doddle to set up and add to my existing Reolink App. The stitching together between the two internal cameras is better on this 8K unit than on than my older camera.Colour night vision without the giveaway spotlight being turned on is quite good as there’s a street lamp across the road from my house. Oh, and to cut down the awful wind noise it picks up stick a piece of soft foam over the microphone hole.

Great Camera for BlueIris Software
I use it with Blue iris Software. Use the onboard AI for people/vehicle spotting that passes it to the software which creates the triggers. Works great.
