We bought this for a Christmas 2014 present and you can't review something like this until you've 'lived with it' for a bit. Well, I hope things have changed as the one we got is essentially useless. The caliper brakes are the cheapest of the cheap and absolutely rubbish. In fact the term brake is misleading as they don't. I've taken it to 2 separate independent cycle repair shops, both have tried their best to get the 'brakes' to work with minimal success, I've had the cables replaced with higher spec ones with lubricated covers to see if that helps (it hasn't), the brake handles are plastic and because the brakes need to be squeezed so hard to get them to work (far beyond what my 8yr old was capable of) the handles distort in the bracket and are in danger of breaking the whole unit. The rest of the scooter is ok, the paint finish is good and the tires look sturdy. Sadly, it's sitting in the shed unused as it's not much use until I can afford to get some replacement caliper brake units and metal handles and see if I can get them to work. In hindsight we should have just sent it back but the Little 'un was so excited to finally have a proper scooter (rather than one of those awful micro scooters) and tried so hard to use that we didn't. I'll not make that mistake again.

Solid construction. Brake tricky to set. Lighter than a bike and fits in a car with the seat down. Handle grips are too small and dig into palms. Great to ride, but be warned! If you have done any scooting for years, you can get serious Achilles tendon strain!!

The brakes are weak and levers are made of plastic and the chrome on the wheels is poor. However my son loves it and is great for those off road moment.

GOD i'm 48 year old & i'm having so much fun on this BEAST, i had the NINJA SCOOTEK back in 80's & been after 1 for 20 odd years, THIS IS SAME SORT OF SCOOTER BUT BUILT SO MUCH BETTR, I've been down the ramps in town & boy this stood a good hammering & i had so much fun, may have to get another as love this BEAST

Bought it for my son's 10th birthday. He loves using it and go on it too as it is up to 100kg. Good value for the price. Not very fast though.

55 yr old Husband has had great fun on this! 😁It's standing the test of time after 8 months and good for keep fit! Local kids thinks it's awesome!

A very stylish model but it is heavy. However, the seller readily accepted it back.

My grandson is partially sighted and cannot balance a normal cycle. The 1080 push scooter however is perfect for him
