Good Coverage Area, Masks Scattered Litter, Low Cost
This is a good-sized mat that easily catches most of the grains my cat flings outside the litter boxes' immediate perimeter. I like the quality, relative softness, and feel of the PVC mesh material used. This looks like a regular rug whose color helps to mask the scattered gray litter grains. The low cost makes this a worthwhile value. I highly recommend.

Would buy again
Excellent for keeping my floor CLEAN! Cat litter gets everywhere, this easily takes care of that. Size is perfect, quality is spot on, and it keeps the smell of litter by the litter box. Would definitely buy again!

Decent mat
It’s easy to thrown down. It captures most of the litter, but not all. It’s not hoarding any poor smells at this time. Have been using it some months now. The deign is stylish. Modern look and color. Attractive enough for its purpose.

Does the job of trapping the litter very well!
Works great! Love the large size! Do keep an eye on your kittens, though! One of our babies liked to chew on everything, (actually, he still does!). He chewed a hole in our first mat when he was just a baby, so we had to remove it and use a different mat for a while. For a baby that tries to chew on everything, it’s definitely a choking hazard, or even a risk of intestinal blockage if a piece were to be ingested, so do keep a close watch on the little ones! That being said, this mat is excellent at trapping litter! Works great!! But it’s a bit hard to clean. I have to take it outside to shake it out, and I still can’t get all the litter out. But as long as you don’t have kitties that like to chew on rubbery things, the pros by far outweigh any cons!

Good for certain situations, others, not so good.
I bought 2 of these mats in Oct. 2024. I have one ladylike cat eho is gentle on anything and everything, including all things powder room. That said I now realize the negatives inherent in a mat configuration that involves rubbery plastic material (absorbs odors) that is placed around litter boxes where litter particulates, both soiled and unsoiled will drop off of the cat's paws, etc. and work down through a mesh, collecting at the bottom of the mat until vacuumed out, washed out, or shaken out. Theoretically, the mat will be a win/win for everyone. Well, that depends on the household and its human occupants. In a single family home with access to an outdoor space, and with an adult occupant physically able to take the mat outside to thoroughly and frequently clean with soapy water and a mild solution of bleach to battle both bacterial and odor issues stemming from imbedded, sticky, soiled clumping clay particulate.... You get the picture. Just like a plastic litter box needs to be placed periodically due to odor absorption even when cleaned and scrubbed regularly, so too will be the case with these mats. Now, for me, and others like me... I would choose a different method if dealing with litter box tracking issues. Why? I live in a high rise building that doesn't allow residents to use outdoor areas to clean litter mats. Even after vacuuming, there remains the sticky clay particulate embedded in the mat that cannot go down any interior plumbing, do soaking a mat in the bathtub isn't an option. So, although the idea of a litter gripping mat sounds great, I believe it is an option only to those who can afford to either replace completely every 90 days, or, uses the mats in a household that can achieve monthly outdoor cleaning and sanitizing.

effectively reduce tracking by trapping litter in dual-layer, honeycomb, or textured surfaces.its size is big enough to cover a large area. Soft materials are generally preferred by cats, with some options featuring anti-slip backing.

The product quality is good like most amazonbasics products. It does help trap the litter. Being a bit of a neat freak, earlier I used to sweep up stray litter from the floor every couple hours, but now I do it once or twice a day. Yes, some litter does get stuck inside. The trick is to turn it upside down, lay it flat on the floor and tap it so that the litter beads fall off. However, if your cat gets a hang of scratching it, they will ruin it. My can did it a couple times from underneath but I discouraged that behaviour just like how I discouraged her from digging the litter too much at a young age. So she usually keeps the litter area clean. However, it it not worth the price. You can get one of those green coarse plastic mat used in cars for much cheaper and it will perform in a similar manner.
