Semi Heavy material as you'd expect for them to block out the light.Sizing was as expected and colour is pretty much spot on - had to iron on low heat (polyester) to get the packaging creases out, but thats pretty much it prior to hanging - just make sure you have hooks if your going that route.Easy enough to hang and as mentioned they do a good gob of blocking out the light.

This is a well made, dense, and thoroughly opaque blackout curtain. I have problems sleeping when there's even a hint of a light source in my room, so I'm always pleased to find a blackout curtain that effectively blocks light.The turquoise material is evenly coloured and matte textured. The curtain tape at the top is standard and should fit most hooks.Recommended.

I live in a 400 year old house in the Scottish Highlands and wanted something to block out the light in my living-room so I can use my projector on a sunny day. You can buy blackout blinds, but getting them to fit all the odd window sizes with off the shelf dimensions is impossible, and custom-made blinds would cost a fortune. These are the perfect all around ticket! I am sure they would look very elegant and sleek in a modern home, but for anyone who live in a 400 year old building with 2 feet thick walls (and hence window frames), and who just wants to block out the sun, these are fantastic. As for the curtains themselves, they have a slight shiny look to them in direct light. The stitching seems very nice and they really do a great job of blocking out the light.
