This is a handy item to slice my homemade bread using my bread machine. It has three different slice sizes that work perfectly. I think this is a great purchase!

I wanted a small, easy to store slicer for one piece of bread at a time. This works better than i thought it would and I would recommend others to try it.

Best bread slicer for bread machine bread I have found. I like the 1 cm cut for sandwich bread and it is hard to find a slicer that goes down to that. It is barely big enough - but it is just - to fit my typical 1.5 lb loaves I tend to make standard.

I am really under a space crunch so I like this as a great space saving bread cutting. It has a perfect size slice and it's easy to use. I find that the hinge being this is all plastic has a tendency to break over time so this is my third one. I love the space saving aspect of it so I'll just keep buying them when they break hopefully stay available. Perfect size slice of bread.

The only good thing about this is that it folds up nicely for storage. The sides aren’t adjustable, so woe to the person who doesn’t bake their bread to that exact dimension. The section you put the knife in to slice the bread is flimsy, it spends a good portion of the time snagging on your knife. After each slice, you have to fight the knife back out of the slat and remove the loaf to extract the one slice you just did in order to slice the next piece. The placement of the foldable bit means you have to be a contortionist to use this easily. You have to hold the bread in place, putting pressure on the end of the loaf to keep it seated firmly against the backboard, while applying downward pressure to keep the whole shebang in place with one hand while your other hand fights to get the knife into the slot to slice. It’s pretty unwieldy to use.If you’re single and prefer to just do a slice or two at a time when needed, this might be an ok thing to have. If you have a family and you just slice the loaves up all at once, this is far more hassle than what it’s worth. Unless you like the feeling of wanting to pitch the whole thing against the wall in frustration. If that’s the case, knock yourself out and buy this sucker, because you WILL want to throw this thing every time you use it!

As described works well

While it folds up nicely and is easy to clean, I had a lot of trouble cutting bread with this device, especially homemade loaves with thicker crusts. There is basically nothing to hold on to while cutting without causing the knife slot to bind the knife. You need a way to push the bread against the unit while cutting also, but this is next to impossible without the unit sliding on the countertop. (Even with the supplied rubber feet). To add insult to injury, the thinnest slice setting is too thin and the next one is too thick. Really disappointed with this purchase. May work better for store bought soft white bread.
