Brass terminal screws were very soft brass and poor quality such that the threads shredding during fittingThis happened to multiple screws and on inspection the threads were very shallow and gave no gripThe wire used was standard 0.75mm solid copper Twin & Earth conductors

A simple replacement for a hanging ceiling rose. Easy to install

Having read the reviews I was aware that it would be easy to damage if not handled with care. The plastic rim is too brittle and will shatter if any force is used. Again screwing in the light bulb, any over tightening can again cause problems. If handled with some care it will do the job so if fitting in any difficult position look elsewhere.

The plastic cracked and the metal screw ripped like tinfoil when I put a light bulb in

I was replacing the strip light in my garage/workshop with a LED multi light fixture. It needed a E27 fitting as it’s a screw connection. Unfortunately it struggled with the LED light fitting as the E27 thread is quite flimsy, almost resembling thick foil. It might be good for a normal bulb but not for a LED light unit. I will replace the E27 fitting with something stronger.

Plastic is very brittle, when attempting to break out the side cable entrance the plastic shattered, so installation is untidy. Metal used to make thread is thin and distorted. Will do the job, but lack of quality makes the job more difficult than it should be. Worth paying extra for a quality make, I I think
