What a simple but brilliant little product this is! It fits in seconds and works superbly on my sliding patio doors.I didn't know you required 2 for a sliding patio door so will order another one for added security, but what a great piece of kit!

Got this to keep our two year old from escaping through the sliding door of our house. It worked great for a couple of years, but then got "loose" after a LOT of use (our slider is our main door to enter and leave our house. By the time our second boy was old enough to try and escape, I had to buy another one. Through many cycles of use, the little plastic tab that holds it in the "locked" position wore down and it wouldn't stay up in the locked position (gravity). It's cheap enough that I wasn't concerned with it needing replacement. Replacement was easy... i just dribbled a little acetone from an eyedropper above the glue pad (on the window) until it was soaked and then it just popped right off (clean). Had i not used the Acetone, it would have been a bear to remove (good quality adhesive). So, i would use this on a glass surface rather than wood, drywall, paint, or anything you're worried about damaging in removal.

I am amazed on a simple and effective is that little device. Stick it to the window wait 72hours and voilà! No more toddler opening the patio door to run in the yard. I don’t know if it would really keep away a burglar but it will block any kid/adult to open that door.Update. About 2 years later and many break out attempts by my toddlers the device broke. Was well worth the price

I haven’t had to actually put this bad boy to use yet but the peace of mind it provides is nice.

I just moved out on my own and I’ve been watching too much of the ID murder Channel. I am paranoid that someone is going to try to break in so I’ve got cameras and jingly bells everywhere.My balcony door is backwards and I am unable to put a stick or security screw in the balcony track as that side is on the outside rather that inside. In theory, someone could actually place a bar in and lock me inside the apartment. Anyway, this little attachment does the job of only allowing the balcony door to open as much as I allow it to, which is at the size of my small dog so he can slip in and out. When I want it to open fully I just flip the little plastic piece down and my sliding door is back to normal.When it comes down to it, if someone really wants to break in, they can just break the balcony glass door or ram this plastic piece off by repeatedly opening and closing the door. However that hassle may not be worth it and I’ll be alerted with the noise or from the security cameras I have. This little plastic piece is on securely and does make me feel safer. It was easily to install and at a good price. I may get another to put on the balcony door to have it open a few inches to get some air in and leave dog piece on as double barrier.

Purchased for use on a bedroom window, for a child with Autism and flight behaviours. When placed high up on the window, this device can provide safety for for child and peice of mind to parents and caregivers. Thanks for the wonderful product!
