Amazing! Easy to apply with a foam roller, 2 coats and job done. Wait is properly cured, buffed with a cutting polish and nice and shiny.

I never thought I could get this excited about a varnish, but after working with a different brand and switching to this one after having issues because of the other brand taking forever to cure and leaving a horrible finish if you applied it too thickly, this stuff is MAGIC. Applies very easily, self levels, cures quickly and leaves a gorgeous finish. Feels idiot proof by comparison. Absolutely recommend.

Only reason this Varnish didn't receive a 5 star rating was because when I opened the varnish smelt like pure FISH and the worst kind, thank god once dried the smell disappeared but I used a liberon bees wax on the oak afterwards just incase as the wax has a lovely earthy smell. The substance in tin was milky white but I was told by the seller that was normal very strange. Quick drying and leaves a waterproof non shiny finish exactly what I needed for my new oak dining table and bench to save me damaging the wood 🪵 with water and cleaning products. My furniture only took one coat and you get plenty. Varnish is like water spreads very well only need a little bit. Great quantity for such a small tin so great value for money.

Thanks to other reviews, stir it each and everytime before use. Great satin finish. After using it a few times I have now learned to thin it down with a bit of water and apply it with a rag. This way it dries faster and i can put more layers on (10 thin layers goes on smoother than 2 thick ones!). If you don't apply it evenly, you will see some patches. If using a sponge, it might leave bubbles and streaks, just lightly smooth it over with another part of the sponge and it should go away. Make sure to let it dry + CURE for a week if using on a high-traffic surface. If you don't, it will scratch easily. 1 litre lasted me quite a while and i won't hesitate to buy again

Advantages: it's water-soluble, so super easy to clean brushes, and it doesn't smell at all. It dries very quickly (recoat-able after 2 hours). Disadvantages: despite putting on three coats, I would not describe the result as a true gloss varnish. Maybe 'satin', at a pinch. It's impossible to tell how durable it is (I've only just put it on a few days ago), but I hope as a polyurethane varnish, it will be. Although it looks creamy-white in the tin, it dries to a transparent finish. Despite the difficulties of using oil-based varnishes (such as yacht varnish), I might go for that next time, as at least I can be certain of a nice gloss finish.

Creates a nice seal and surface which is neither too shiny nor too dull. I applied 3 coats to naturally wood which had been freshly sanded, as can be seen in the photo. The varnish was easy to apply, it dried quickly and clean-up was simple woth water.

Absolutely banging easy to apply & a superb finish lovely & shiny if that’s the effect you’re aiming for? Did I mention it’s water based so brush clean up is a doddle 🤷‍♂️

2nd time I've purchased this. It's wonderfully matte, which is surprisingly hard to find. My Cherubs in the photo are painted with acrylic paint then sealed with 3 coats this product.

Very good

Box was damaged. Can lid was loose. Polyurethane was leaking. Had to use it anyway, couldn’t wait. Too early to tell how long it will last.
