Bulova Moonwatch - 96B258

You really want an Omega Speedmaster Professional but you can't afford it. The Bulova Luna Pilot is the often overlooked choice. It has the pedigree of being "the other" Moon Watch the big differences are that this watch is actually accurate. Yes it's a Quartz but a super accurate quartz. Even the most expensive mechanical / automatic watches like the Speedmaster often do not keep particularly good time. This watch is more affordable than the Omega. I am not knocking Omega, I would love one but they are now a Swatch watch. The Bulova looks great, it is well finished and extremely accurate. If I have to find a negative it would be that I would prefer it to be a little more water resistant (it is rated 50M) and with a screw in crown.

I bought this watch for myself for Christmas. On opening the box, given the price, I was really surprised by the quality of the watch case and bracelet. The finish is really top drawer. There are no rough or sharp edges anywhere. The case back is also very nicely engraved. There was a sticker on the case back which read "Japan movement case and bracelet China". This is not surprising seeing as Bulova is now owned by Citizen. Don't let this put you off buying because Citizen know how to make a good watch. I really wish that the watch had been automatic or solar powered, but never the less, it's a great addition to my collection . Recommended.

Beautiful watch. I already had the black version so was waiting for this at the right price. 262khz mvt is amazing to watch in action. You will need to buy 20mm curved spring bars if you want to wear this on a nato strap.

Really please with this watch. I have another precisionist boluva watch but this one is much better looking IMHO - its better looking on the wrist and in the hand that it is on screen - recommended if you can get it at a good price.

I still get a lot of enjoyment out of this watch. It does wear big, so I would suggest trying it on first before ordering online. It’s quite heavy so may take some getting used to if you don’t own any big watches. Overall though, it’s a good watch that keeps great time and looks good on the wrist, if you don’t try and dress it up. Pros: - Lovely sweeping chronograph movement. - Keeps great time. - Respected brand and interesting history. Cons: - it may be too big for some. - Lume is terrible and should be discounted. - No screw down crown.

The watch is superb, the photos do not give it credit ,1st class movement and the quality is second to none 10/10 and yes I would recommend this watch in a heartbeat.

Stunning watch with a really neat bit of history. It's quite large compared to most of my other watches, but it wears relatively small for its size. My wrist is just a hair under 7" and I'd say I'm right at the cusp of it fitting. If you have a smaller wrist, I'd recommend going with the 43mm version. It's an incredible watch with a good bit of heft and looks much nicer than the price suggests. Probably my favorite watch in my collection!

This watch is very well made. I’m actually more happy with it now than I thought I will be ordering it. Few things to consider: Yes, it’s a bigger watch. I got 6.75+/7.0- inch wrist. It sits slightly on a larger side but it’s not as bad as some might think. It’s solid comfy good looking watch. Some complain about QC. This is not true. The misaligned hands can be easily adjusted by pulling out the crown and using the buttons to adjust it. It’s a feature of this and many other chronograph watches. People, read a manual before you complain. It has a butterfly clasp. Looks good. My only small complain it does not have a micro adjustment. So you are stuck with link removal. Is it bad? Not really but consider it. My only wish is to have this watch in mechanical version and I’d say it would be the one if not the best watch I got…. And I got few Swiss made watches and others. I’d definitely would get another one if this one was to disappear or something.
