To persuade my granddaughter that poetry is another important facet of good literature

Was struggling to engage my 7 year old daughter in reading, then found this at the library. Just the right level for her to manage reading mostly on her own and very funny. Ended up buying it as she did not want to give it back. Wanted to buy a second copy as a gift for a friend but no longer available. Such a shame.

Arrived 22nd June 2017. I love it. A very good story.

A fantastic collection of poems for KS2 children. Some are funny, some are long, others short whilst others have a clever meaning to them. Gervase Phinn has a real talent for writing and children will enjoy reading his poems. My class loved the poem titled 'There's an alien in the classroom' which has a humorous twist at the end!
