Product is extremely ease to use. Works well in any weather, had to get a fire started in a snow storm, used a marble sized ball of the purple fiber and had no problems getting it to light and lasted long enough to get fire started.

Bought for back country camping

Perfect stocking stuffer for my husband! We tested it out with great satisfaction in our home fireplace, now my husband will take it on his snowmobile trip! I’m really impressed with its ability to get so hot, so fast.

I’ve tried a few different fire starters. Fire fiber works great! I bought some for myself this winter to use in my wood fireplace. Sometimes my wood pile gets a little damp and this helped get it going. I definitely recommend to anyone. A little bit goes a long ways and the package is easy to fit in your pack if you are camping or hiking.

4 minutes. I teach my Scouts that all an experienced fire maker needs from their tinder is 4 minutes. I pulled off about a pinky nail sized blob (less than half of what I would expect to use in bad weather). I then fluffed off a tiny tab to hit with ferro sparks (tab was thin enough to see light through). The first time I hit it with sparks, it lit up and burned for almost 3 minutes! Excellent!

When it came in the mail, it was so small! I don’t think it’s worth the money.
