Motacare® MCBC6 6/12 Volt Car Battery Charger (6 Amp)

Does what it should. This cannot be used for trickle charge or battery maintenance

Based on simple calculation, 6A charger which means my battery of 80AH should be fully charged in 13hours. Put my battery to charge for 12hrs as i know the battery isn't flat so should be sufficient. I am so wrong. Plug the battery into the car and turn the key to find my car struggled to start and a second turn of the key seems to have flatten the battery. I took a amp meter and monitor the charging current. When first power on, I can measure current of over 5A (fair enough, not quite 6A but near) flowing through, after a minute or two the current dropped to 0.25A. My battery is 80AH so if it does charge it will probably take so many days (more than 13 days).I used another charger from my friend which is an old halford charger that charges the battery within a day. I measured the current of the halford charger and it is constantly output 4.5A even after 20 minutes of charging. After 16hrs of charging, i plug the battery back to the car and the car started instantly. Will i recommend this charger to my friend? I guess NO.Contacted Seller FastcarDirect but no reply. Requested returned and denied return the next day as return period has expired. It is quite clear that they sell and won't be supporting the product. I'm sure i won't be buying from FastcarDirect.

Worked once and now won't charge a battery.Hopefully I can return it..Don't buy!

A generic charger - not very robust connectors. Difficult to tell when charging finished.

The needle seem to get stuck after 5 mins returned the product it took 2 weeks before my momey was refunded
