Connect a DAC while charging the phone.
This does exactly what I needed it to. I wanted a way to charge my phone while the USB-C port was occupied by a DAC and wired headphones. I bought two splitters from two different manufacturers. This device worked the other did not. Success!!! Hours of music without the phone battery depleting. Equipment: Samsung S25U, Qudelix 5k, splitter, wired IEMs.

Successfully connected/powered phone and SMSL Su-1 DAC
I bought it for a very specific case: sending music from my phone to SMSL SU-1 DAC while powering the DAC and charging the phone simultaneously. This DAC is USB powered so you cannot connect it to a non powered USB. For that very specific case this cable worked beautifully thus the 5 stars. In order to work you have to:- connect the combined output to the phone- connect the data fork to the DAC- connect the power fork to external USB power supplyIf you connect the data fork to the phone and combined to the DAC it does not work. Just sayin.

Data port not funtionable
I've had this for about two months, but only used the power side, which worked. I recently needed to use the data side and all three of my computers refused to acknowledge it was connected. I even tried three different USB-C thumb drives and got nothing. Obviously, I don't needed the data input often, but I paid for it and didn't get it, and of course it's too late to return it. Lesson learned.UPDATE: The seller reached out to me after my review. After several emails with the seller asking various questions concerning my equipment, it was determined that my Lenovo E15 laptop requires 65w and has a 3.5mm audio port. Apparently this USB-C split cable can only provide up to 60w, and while it plays in some devices, it can be recognized as an audio device in others having a 3.5mm audio port, causing a conflict. I don't begin to understand this explanation, but the seller provided me with a small dongle containing a male USB-A port on one end and a female USB-C port on the other end. It allows me to use my USB-C thumb drive in my Lenovo E15 laptop without having to use the USB-C power port. Not the approach I had hope for, but a viable solution since transfer speed is not an issue for me.

Great for charging from one source while transferring data to another souce.
I needed to be able to charge my phone while having it hooked to a hard drive for data transfers and works perfectly for that application.

Works for quest 3 and controller!
It DOES work on the quest 3 for a wifi controller adapter such as on the kk3 max or vader 3 pro. But it HAS to be charging FIRST before you turn on the headset, then connect the controller before turning on the headset, and youre good to go!

Didn't work with Apple Car Play
The adapter works fine to power the phone and listen to headphones. I was trying to listen to music stored on a USB-C thumb drive connected to my phone in my car. My car stereo didn't recognize the phone with a the adapter plugged in so I had to use Bluetooth to listen to music. Once I unplugged the splitter to go back to wired Apple Car Play, the car stereo didn't recognize the phone. No power to the phone and no connection. I had to restart the phone and the turn the car off and back on to get back to my normal Apple Car Play. Plus, the phone imports the music files from the USB-C thumb drive anyway so it was an exercise in futility, at least the way I was hoping to use the adapter.
