Quality
Packaged in, what must be 250gm to make up a kg.Interesting. Anyway the biltong is the best I’ve bought here in the U.K.. not for sharing, ok just with one of the Grandbabies (aged 8)

Moorish & succulent
This is only the 2nd time I've bought biltong (in bulk) other than the small packets in shops.I haven't had biltong for a few years now, but I've been craving it and need a healthy snack back in my life.Although I like the dried biltong that comes in 35g packs it's never enough, and is chewy. The last time I bought a bulk of biltong I tried offcuts or shredded biltong (2kg bag) if you like. I thoroughly enjoyed the stuff and it made for a great snack, and was incredibly cheap. After looking at many products for a 1kg biltong bag (a few cheaper but many more expensive) I chose this, as it had good reviews and sales. The only thing that swaying me from not buying this product were the reviews on the wetness of this biltong. But I decided I'll try it.The delivery was extremely quick. The packaging is just plain vac pack bags x4 (but who cares). But the product itself is so moorish. Yes it isn't as dried as I have had, but it is not wet, it is succulent, very lean and the flavour is really, really good. I devoured 1 pack in 2 days. Need to push myself to try dry wors now. Highly recommend

Moorish, great value for money
Great product, good texture, not overly seasoned so can become quite moorish as you eat through a bag in one sitting haha, ate through it really quickly. I read through the reviews, people stating that it’s too wet. Due to the air tight vacuum sealed bag, the biltong can become wet as the meat will naturally sweat. If you remove it from the plastic and place in a paper bag overnight. It begins to dry out, proud South African so great value for money in my opinion. Would love to see a more seasoning options available, keep up the great work 👌🏻

Really weird smell
It has the weirdest smell. It’s like a chemically/Jelly/sweet/acetone almost smell? It’s like no Biltong I have ever smelt before. It smells like a synthetic sweet rather than meat? It tastes ok..? It’s also still relatively wet, i am used to it being more dry. I got this to up my protein while I train but I won’t be ordering again. I don’t know if I just got a bad batch or what but it’s really not great. Also it’s BILTONG. Why does it go bad 48 hours after you open it?? Biltong for me has always been like “it’ll last a good 7 days or so. Leave it in a dish or in a paper bag”. This stuff apparently goes off after 48 hours of opening (on the pack?). Too wet?Probably why it’s cheapTo the companies credit, I haven’t messaged them because I don’t think anything is “wrong” with it, it’s just really badly prepared to my taste. Sorry won’t use again. Be weary of this one and order a small bag first before going all in like I did.I ate the full KG. It didn’t make me sick or give me and problems so it’s fine!! But if I wasn’t eating it with a calorie goal in mind I wouldn’t have bothered.

Very chewy
The biltong was vacuum packed and looked and smelt ok considering that it is a semi raw product delivered by post, however i followed the instructions on the bag and ate about 100 grams of it on the delivery day and had an upset stomach by late evening.

Overly fatty - oddly sweaty - probably avoid
I've purchased and eaten literally hundreds of kilos of biltong and jerky in my time, this is oddly sweaty in the bags, meaning you get this sweaty meat out of the bag who h i presume, due to shipping in non-vacuum pack bags. Meaning moist air is left once the bag is sealed. On top of this, because it's not effectively dry due to the above, the usual fat content is more prominent than usual and quite unpleasant to eat.

Best Biltong On Here!
Now this is the authentic taste! They don't seem to add sugar, unlike other recipes on here -I never did quite get the obsession with adding sugar to everything - some things (like peanut butter and biltong) are just better without. This biltong is dry enough to require a satisfying amount of chewing while not being so dry that you feel you're chewing cardboard. And it's seasoned exactly to my taste. Wish their piripiri was as good.

Delicious and well made
In this case, buying in bulk is not compromising on quality. This is delicious. Very high quality biltong.
