As a traffic supervisor this hat was just the one I was looking for.

Works well. School crossing guard.

Very lightweight.. adjustable velcro strap.. dries fast.. nice brim (curve and length).. Honestly, I didn't think I'd like it that much. Bought it for Disneyworld so that I could keep track of the kids and the kids could find me at xmas (along with whistles.. flashing LED's.. you guessed it - two boys..). Turned out not to be an issue - the hat was more than enough. Imagine a hat so SAFETY ORANGE BRIGHT that you can spot it *instantly* in Disneyworld at Christmas.. in the middle of the day, in the evening, or even in dim lights in the ride lines.. In fact, this one is way brighter to the eye (in my opinion) than the yellow version (got one of those as well..). The pattern of the reflective tape really made it stick out (in the one instance where I saw a man wearing a somewhat muted orange hat.. lest there be any confusion amonst orange hatted people..). But if I see anyone else with this same hat ever; I'll have to write the company and insist on different reflective tape patterns.. at least until the boys are cellphone capable.

Ordered 3 safety hats, sent other 2 back. Great fit. Disclaimer: I have a big head, so take that under consideration.

I got this to make me more visible to drivers while out pedaling, day or night. The "dome" of the hat covers down to below my ears, and it is big enough to wear OVER the ears if you want. That could actually be useful if you live in a high -UV area like the US southwest and want to keep your ear tips from getting burnt to a crisp. I did subtract one star for the color. The product photo shows what I expected to receive: A high-vis safety orange. The actual hat I received though was a neon orange highlighter color. I know that suppliers change all the time and maybe they color will change, beware though that as of March 2015 that's what they're selling.

The hats fit well, good quality and nice bright colors. Bought one for myself and my husband because we tend to walk more in the evening. Only complaint is that the reflective material is only sewn on the front of cap, nothing on the back. I added a strip of reflective tape on the back, to make sure we're visible.
